Genma Onimusha (2002) is kind of an updated version of the original Onimusha: Warlords (2001) having more features
The reason for FPS drops and some graphical errors is that this was played on Xbox Original emulator

I rocked out on Genma O years ago. Lately ive been cranking threw Onimusha W multiple times unlocking everything. Im amazed how different they are. Becides the obvious stuff im talking about item locations and door locks differences specifically. It Makes the 2 characters take completely different routes. I really wish this version of the game was a part of the hd remake.
I know itll never happen but i think a perfect version of this game, maybe after beating both versions will allow you to mix and match the different elements. Like you start a new game and a list will come up and can switch each difference between warlords or genma. Such as enemy layout, item and door lock layout, blade charging, green orbs, ogre tower, enhancement style, aurmors, and whatever else is different. between warlords and genma to mix and match the campaign. Would be kinda cool.

Much prefer Genma Onimusha, to Onimusha Warlords. It's a shame they didn't remaster this version instead :(

This looks like a revised, "hard" version of the game with extra's. This looks amazing and I'm a big fan of the series. will have to buy this.

you can play it on the xbox emulator on the pc upscaled to 4k looks incredible

The only time I preferred an X-Box port to the PS2 version was for this game. This port improved everything on the original PS2 port and added in a lot of great bonus material. The difficulty was increased dramatically but I didn't mind it at all. Capcom really dropped the ball on Onimusha with the 3rd game. The series wasn't the same after that.

Yeah no. Onimusha 3 was easily the best game in the series. Only little children that grew up with onimusha 1 and 2 thinks otherwise. The only bad game in the series is dawn of dreams, as it added nothing to the story that 3 definitively wrapped up.
