Elrond Suite | The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power (Original Soundtrack) by Bear McCreary

I'm so happy Elrond was done as well as he was, and to top it all off he had the best storyline in my opinion. His theme took a while to grow on me, but now I love it's sincerity and genuine tenderness. It's soft and gentle, usually played on low strings or a woodwind, but it has it's moments of grandeur and bravado. But at it's core it's a heartfelt, gentle theme that portrays the passion and reservation of the Half-elven lord.

Elrond's theme is fantastic, so gentle, flowing and somehow a bit nostalgic, even though I haven't even watched the show.

I agree with your summary, this was the one theme I didn't like on first listen because it felt too Hallmark like, but hearing McCreary's variations to it helped it grow on me.

I like Elronds theme much more than his character in the show, I have to admit. For me he lacked the gravitas and charisma I hoped to see from Elrond. I know he's many peoples favorite, so maybe I just had the wrong expectations. Thank you for this great suite in any case!
