I like the skill each weapon has, i just hate the ugs paired ugs moveset + "needing" to break the skill up into 2 weapons. Stamp uppercut & sweep are another 2 ashes that should just be one
Yeah the fact that it’s the paired UGS move set again is disappointing honestly.

exactly what happened to me. Me and a friend were in the storehouse shadowkeep area, right at the top of the elevator. He came up the elevator and i was like "oh hes gonna try and pull us off be careful", then he whipped out this shit

@LastxRose It really does. The fly-men are the same as the ones in Ringed City, the hornsent warriors are miniature Gundyrs, the annoying casters that have spells coming from beneath you...
@LongClawzHidden a dragon with a broken down body that shoots massive laser beams, the star lined sword is basically the ring knight straight sword with a lot more flips, gaels repeating crossbow returns, a black katana with a rapid slash special attack...huh, yeah this really is ring city all over again

ever since i got that one its the only one i use i remember invading a duo and i found the summon allone and the host was a bit further up i killed the summon first and taunted him after with the lament and then i started stalking the host and used the lament behind him and kept dodging most of his attacks and kept using the lament to taunt him
Does it have any special effect or it's just the lamenting sound? Chase used it yesterday and I couldn't stop rewinding and laughing.

How is this at all comparable to bullet hell?
I just really wish instead of making two different varients of this Remembrance weapon, They would have made it just one weapon with a Consort Stance or something, That way L2+R1 would be the Lord attack and L2+R2 would be the light attack. Still incredibly confused why they didn't do this.
Especially considering thats exactly how Gaels greatsword, frayed blade and Friedas scythe worked.
I would say it's because they never make stances segue quickly enough into the attack animations but this one kinda does a JoJo pose first anyway so idk
I'm also confused why they deal magic damage and have int scaling, but the ash is holy damage...
@@IHMyselfi guess cus radahn does gravity magic and the ash of war is the miquella phase which is holy
Also the weapons themselve are not that great anyway, the normal starscourge greatsword have a higher damage output even on a quality build.
Honestly, I think they should've made it a stance aow because the 2 swords are exactly the same.
this is a good point, it makes the swords more beginner friendly without needing hardswaps and gives a visual indication to run away when a storm of L2 is coming your way
@@lizard_bois5559not to mention the fact that for the final boss of one of the hardest DLCs ever you have to duplicate this rememberance three different times if you want everything. It's a major design flaw for them to make that two separate weapons.

Lightspeed slash benefits from the Godfrey icon talisman as its charge-able and
promised consort benefits greatly from the multihit talismans, Rotten winged Sword insignia and Milicents’ prosthesis.
Imagine bringing them in with Radahn's gravity greatswords and then switching to his consort lightbeams greatswords as a invasion.
This once hit, near inescapable combo with high hyper-armor plus the innately dual wield colossal weapon really reminds me of the Dual Ultra from the Ringed City.
Yeah just without a unique moveset and the swords don’t look cool
@@shiroufan5401 The dual ultra greatswords literally have normal greatswords light and heavy attacks. The only unique Moveset part is the dual wield button and ash of war.

Honestly this weapon is the weirdest thing to me. 2 sets of Paired weapons with the exact same stats and only a different ash of war. It feels like it couldve been a stance ash with the Light being the Promised Consort and the Heavy being Lightspeed Slash.
Other way around but yeah. Consort needs to be the r2 as it does the most damage.
another classic "make the room explode 7 times" weapon.
They missed a huge opportunity with this weapon. They should have made it a stance weapon. Hold L2 to enter stance then R1 is the Lightspeed Slash and R2 is the Consort combo. Way better than splitting it into two identical weapons.

His main use in the pvp scene is his great roll catching potential, however he has a big weakness. His stubbornness to never use good weapons such as myself, only using mid weapons such as the Radahn greatswords.

still annoys me they made this thing 2 separate versions where the only difference is the AoW. Should have been a stance (or even just that initial input with the crossed blades) like Rellana's Twinned Swords that transitioned into the 2 separate attacks via light or heavy attack from that stance.
I love the little ash of war showcases that came with the intro. Having that little extra touch was wonderful.

We need a throwing pot build right now
Don't know if you've tried it out yet but there's a unique thrusting sword called Carian Sorcery Sword. Its heavy attack allows you cast spells without needing a staff. Then you could use a seal in your offhand. The potential for mix-ups while basically running around with 3 weapons equipped is absolutely insane.
So, Chase… how does it perform against an antspur rapier and fingerprint shield poke? 😏

If I had a nickel for every time there was a weapon from a serpent boss in this game that was better than the final god boss I would have 2 nickels. Which is weird that it happened twice (Blasphemous Blade and Spear of the Impaler vs Sacred Relic Sword & Marika's Hammer and the 2 Greatsword of Radahn from the DLC).
Now if I had a nickel for each time there was an OP madness torch weapon I would have 1 nickel, but it's weird that I have one to begin with.
BB is the overtuned GOAT. The others are debatable. They are all situational, and all the holy weapons simply suffer from holy resistance.
Spear of impaler is not even that good. You can be easily knocked out from the ash of war in both pvp and pve

@DTGeorge Lord is pretty good because of its ash. Spear of the Implaer is flashy but it's ash is super easy to dodge and punish if they do the full thing. Makes up for good moveset though

Hell, radahn and messmer has 0 holy resistance apparently and Gaius has -20% holy res

I really appreciate the example clips at the beginning of your recent videos, Chase! They really do help visualize what you're explaining, and avoid the 'Chase runs in circles for 2 minutes' we've come to meme about.
Have been watching your content for a while now, I really enjoy the addition of the examples of the use for the specific moves in the moveset in the intro. While your descriptions were always good, and I almost always was able to pick up the specific instances that you mentioned in the intro in the gameplay, having the example gameplay in the intro is a great touch. Keep making great content!

Would love to see you do the new seamless coop invasions. So much cool stuff: summons, torrent, have to kill whole team to win, etc. Solo or with some friends.
Really, really love the recent inclusion of example clips for certain things you mention about weapons! Helps visualize these aspects much better than if you just mention them while standing still and having to look out for it later in the invasions.

I don’t even play this game anymore cause my Xbox decided it didn’t wanna work anymore. But everyday after work ur videos are the first thing I see. I really enjoy watching u showcase all the weapons. U make it all look so easy!
The big chain of anime slashes on the Promised Consort Ash is actually the Friede's Scythe L2+R1 combo. That scythe was easily my favorite weapon in ANY Souls game, so I know. I recognize my baby anywhere.
Pay attention to the gaps between the slashes. It's forward jump with two slashes, two quick follow up spinning slashes, and then a spin slash, jump, and slam into the ground.
What really baffles me is why they made this two seperate weapons instead of a stance weapon, like Friede's was. It'd make so much more sense.
You just gotta strap some poor guy onto your back and call your self Rahdahn.
Chase never fails to impress me with his skill
Here's a build recommendation: Try Cold or Bleed infused Beast Claws with Savage Claws, with the Rotten Winged Sword Insignia and Godskin Swaddling Cloth. The Ash of War seems to proc the GSC twice if all of them hit and the Cold build up with strangely high.

It's interesting how the AoW gives presumably dedicated battlemages/ mage knights reliable access to holy damage - of course, it's from the final boss of the dlc so its more like something to use on NG+ or give to a mage struggling against the putrescent knight or something.

Gotta check out the lizard greatsword. Just a better version of banished knights greatsword in every way. The R2 counts as 2 attacks which helps proc status effects (it also does about 500-600 more damage than the BK greatsword because it counts the projectile)
throwing giant jars in this game has the same energy as fisticuffs/RPing as a bard in Mordhau/Chivalry, funniest shit you can do in a game

The one thing I have learned from watching this channel is, no one, and I mean no one, has any idea how to dodge pots and therefore the pot is the ultimate weapon in Elden Ring.

I’m not sure if you’re aware, but you can charge the AoW on he one that makes you jump. More damage, larger range *I think* and more projectiles
