- I should do this again and screen it so you can see the ratio of coarse VS fine calcium. I also have the %of calcium from the quarry it does have a small amount of magnesium in it but its high calcium not dole metic lime. soybeans love calcium more than any other crop.

I have almost 20 years in working at a large scale quarry operation in Atlantic Canada. We have one loader operator that now has 51 years straight in operating Cat wheel loaders. This year he will turn 80 years old, operating Cat 966's up to Cat 990 loaders. Mostly digging shot rock rock and feeding crushers. I myself load out highway trucks daily with a Cat 972M. And I have been that guy way up top having to push off under a stacking conveyor. It's not as bad as it looks, and I have pushed my way from the top right down over the edge to the bottom.
That's weird, we had a loader driver at a gravel pit I worked at in England who was 78 in 1970, he had worked for the same firm since he left school, apart from a couple of wars he volunteered for. My foreman told me he could work until he couldn't get up to his cab, and there were no signs of that !
we tried a cat 980m operators hated that thing, so we replaced it with 220H again. more problems, but they ride better

That's impressive lime from a general quarry.. Many places don't grind limestone as fine as that, or even sieve it as fine as that..

The moisture in that Lyme probably helps tremendously to keep it where you spread it on the field instead of a big dust bowl blowing it all over the neighbors
I agree there was a farmer spreading lime yesterday and it was just blowing away down across the neighbors farm. I was happy to have paid for a little bit of water to keep the lime in the pattern and on the ground.

Thank you Wes, that is super interesting about the lime, I have always wondered why you need so much more Dolomite lime to get the same response as normal lime. (particles are bigger and take longer to break down)
My grandfather always ate black cherries for gout. They (and their juice) have been proven to reduce uric acid.

Every time I watch your channel, I get 3 minutes of John Deere Ads about the 8R410 auto tractor. Anyways, crushed limestone, it is always best to spread it wet. Otherwise, it can just blow away, and neighbours start complaining their trucks and cars are covered in this mysterious white dust. 😊 Slaked Lime is just too fine and too alkaline. Rain washes it straight into streams and rivers, and it rots away Aluminium components. That's my opinion anyways. Glad your feeling better.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts, ideas and videos. Very interesting, what your saying makes a lot of sense. Since your looking to recover from deficiency the fast action should help. Since you are short of time and cash for fuel it would seem that anything you could do to increase the carrying capacity of your trailer would help. Has to be frustrating to have a trailer that’s half empty space wise. Would it be worth renting a higher capacity trailer or maybe adding a drop axel to your trailer to increase its carrying capacity if that’s even possible.
If you see the guy cleaning his trailer with his feet often enough I’d probably buy him a cheap push broom and give it to him. 😂 Your time is more valuable to you than giving him a broom if he would use it.

Hi from wes. Excellent explanation about lime. Out here m9st people add water just before spreading to cut down the dust. Keeps more where it is spread and out of your engine. I know of one bloke that dusted his engine in less than 100 hours even though he put in new air filters at the start.

I had a guy on my roster who would do things like Wes described. He was a total pain and he did it on purpose, with the hopes that someone would get aggregated enough to do it for him. He was no where near stupid but he played the part so well that if a Lieutenant or Captain asked who was on patrol and it was that guy, they would literally say never mind, I’ll do it myself. And then they would! He was senior to me but when I out ranked him, he would transfer because he knew I was gonna make him do it. A task that would take anyone else 20-minutes might take him fifty. I would just keep piling on the tasks until he didn’t have a free minute the whole shift. It took almost three years before he stopped that crap.
Here in NE Texas we call it powder,fine,and course. Powder is like talc. Fine is like sand,Course is like whole pepper grains. I use fine mostly. Ours come from limestone quarries in the Hill Country part of Texas. Back in the day it was called poor man's fertilizer.

I use lime lots. I used to pay for superfine now I use it as it comes out of the ground. The super fine has more surface area but even coarse lime around here is 30% fine. How dissolvable is your lime? Can you mix it with some of your soils add water and see how long it takes to change the Ph, i do test plots too, I look at soil science as a dark art and expensive at it. I ran into issues trying to change the ph to fast, took a couple of years to get back into full production. For Fertiliser Im using serpentine which has mg which I am short of. All our farms are different and your experience matters.

I haul lime that is mined from zinc. When it’s dry it’s a lot like baby powder. It’s like play sand at 10% moisture. You need to send a sample off for an analysis. We give an analysis sheet with every ticket. TVR Tennessee Valley Resources.

You went to a different environment where there are different strains of viruses that your body is not accustomed to fighting so your body doesn’t have the rite antibodies built up to fight those different strains of viruses. Maybe you should try taking a maintenance antibiotic for a week or two before you go over there to help your body ready to fight off those different strains. I’m not a doctor but it just seems like if we were proactive in fighting diseases we would have fewer problems with our health. Not always do we need to use the big pharmaceutical drugs but once in while they would help us. The more natural remedies we can use the better.

The last few times I flew somewhere I got sick afterwards. The planes air systems are filthy.
I had the nose bleed sinus thing too...been sick 2 weeks yesterday with this plague. They say the cough from hell (bronchitis?) takes 4 to 5 weeks to get rid of.

Calcium I make plenty just had 200 count stones removed from my bladder n kidney. After months of hospital stays for IV antibiotics infections wouldn't stop.Drs forced urologist to operate the infections were killing me. Literally.

it blows worse than snow so it is wetted down to prevent it from blowing around the place. im ok with it being damp it really spreads super nice.

I had the flu. It put me in the ER dehydrated. They tested for everything. It took a week to start to feel better. It was awful sit in bathroom with trash can in front cause you need it.

its odd but ive been in many countries and the ones ive gotten sick in where England and Japan. both times in England and the one out of two trips to Japan I sat next to or in front of a sick idiot that coughed the whole time. the time was in Japan a women sneezed on my arm and coughed like a dying horse.
