    Hey, Tasha! I'm not an electrician, but I was married to one. The bare wires that are exposed, where you connected them, should be covered, at the very least with electrical tape (I don't know what the standard code is), which is definitely a safety factor. I just want you guys to be safe! I love your videos, and the light looks great!

    • @TashaLeelyn
      @TashaLeelyn  Před 3 lety +12

      Sue Rodgers You’re right, I am going to trim them down and re-wire so not as much is exposed. Thank you! ❤️

      Tasha you should look into getting wire twists from the hardware store. they safety twist your wire together and protect them ones connected so that nothing is exposed.

    • @Elizkleincaz
      @Elizkleincaz Před 3 lety +1

      I've seen other people use baking soda. It makes the paint sorta foam up and helps create that pottery texture. I think that's why her paint was still really runny. It would have been more like a mousse if she had used baking soda

    Do you always have to like mess with wires and stuff for ceiling lights or am I misunderstanding? XD I have always just bought new lamps and plugged then in to the ceiling socket lol Maybe it's different in different countries?

    • @CoverediCake
      @CoverediCake Před 3 lety

      I also think that looks strang..I just put in the plug and it's done.. maybe on older lamps that don't have a plug..but in that case I use something called a sugar cube to put the wires in.

    Did you buy the lid with the bowl?
    Genuine question to the public: when working on diys and buying supplies from the thrift store, is it okay to split an item such as a bowl or a lid?
    I’m constantly debating myself what to do this scenario, and would love kind genuine feedback how to navigate this situation.
