It's just for a cosplay, and since my hairstyle is close to the character's already, I was thinking of dyeing instead of buying a wig. It only needs to hold for a couple days. Hi Naomi, so i noticed that the manic panic caught on to almost your entire hair and not just to the bleached parts....why is that? Did the color you use catch on to dark hair as well?
+Mabel Tovar Manic Panic, or any vegetable tint (Directions, Special Effects, Pravana, etc.) will grab onto lightened/bleached parts very vividly, but it will also deposit onto darker hair as well. Since it is vegetable dye, it has conditioning properties and can be left on the hair for long periods of time.

Alaska Sawyer It tends to stain my towels after I wash my hair, yeah, but other than that it's alright. A bit of colour running after you wash your hair is completely expected :P I just live with multi-coloured towels!

Lets say if I wanted to participate in any dances, I cant have a unatural hair color. Then there are times where you have to have a natural hair color. In july I dyed the top part of my hair blue, August it was purple then in September I dyed it all black. Just last month I bleached my bangs and now I have color back in my life. Im guessing I will need to dye my hair back to black sometime in march.

Coural Balestrieri its a semi permanent die that is vegan and actually very conditioning and safe on your hair. you can leave it on overnight a lot of people do its completely safe. (:
DanMarie96 Use the Ion Color Defense After-Color Sealer. That product is amazing it stopped my red hair dye from getting all over my pillows and towels... lol It's like a little over 7 dollars at the Sally Beauty Supply Store.
I had Vampire red, it started to fade, then I used L'oreal HiColor highlights in Magenta and L'oreal Chroma True Reds in Garnet, and L'oreal HiColor in Red Hot, with a 20/30 volume developer. That's what my hair is now. :) You can go to Sally's to get the colors!!

Bleach usually dries out the hair, making a more thick and coarse texture, which can be good or bad depending on the look you're going for.

3 or 4 hours? I leave dye in 30 minutes at the most, does it tell you to leave it in for 3 or 4 hours
Manic Panic is vegan dye so you can leave it in overnight or however long you want and it won't damage your hair

Digitalhunny just don't apply dye to your roots, leave them alone. Apply the dye further down your hair. Normally what I do to my hair ☺
