- When you send your Bitcoin with a fee that is too low it can get "stuck in the blockchain" - really your Bitcoin is always on the blockchain, but in this case your Bitcoin is stuck not confirmed to leave it's first wallet to move to the next wallet.
This is a problem for users in a high fee environment and can be very frustrating. Luckily we have two tools to combat our Bitcoin getting stuck. They are Child Pays for Parent and Replace by Fee. In this video I give you a Child Pays for Parent tutorial on Sparrow Wallet and Bluewallet two popular desktop and mobile self custody BTC wallets.

This is a crazy one - these speed up things can be really tough. Glad it was helpful 🤙
Some nodes "purge" old transactions from their mempool... if your transaction has been purged, it gets a little more complicated.
The video was originally going to be unstucking my transaction that was sent back in May.
That transaction was dropped from blockstream.info but not from mempool.space (it seems mempool basically doesn’t drop transactions because they connect to “big nodes”)
So I had to just resend the transaction (was using an expired Casa wallet, Casa was great but resending that transaction was kind of a pain)
Definitely more complicated but hopefully never impossible.
Stuck for 5 days now at 59.3 sats used to get fast confirmation with that amount.
Around 15 days you should be able to resend the transaction with a new fee. Alternatively you can use the steps in this video (load your hot wallet seed into sparrow / connect your hardware wallet to sparrow) and then do Child Pays for Parent
Or if the wallet you're using has Replace by Fee (RBF) or Fee Bump you can add a new fee to send faster

If your wallet doesn’t support replace by fee or child pays for parent you can reinitialize your seed phrase over on sparrow wallet and do the transaction there
What if I just sent all the Bitcoin in my Trezor to a secret wallet with a passphrase? Would that consolidate the UTXO?
It should yeah. Anytime you send it all to any address it should consolidate to one UTXO

If you’re using a custodial service like cash app I don’t know if there’s much you can do unfortunately :(

Hello. I just viewed your short about time period for Bitcoin. I made a transaction in July 7th at a low rate and I am still waiting. The part that I don’t understand is why the transaction date keeps changing. At the 30 day mark, the date changed to August 4th, then last night I noticed the transaction date changed to August 28. I really need this transaction to go through. Any help or information would be greatly appreciated.
The mempool is trying to persist the transaction - same thing happened to me :(
When it happened to me though I was able to resend the transaction from the original wallet - try that

Coinomi hot wallet doesn't have RBF, but if restored Coinomi Seedphrase to another wallet like Green/sparrow, do we can do RBF or CPFP from that new Green/Sparrow wallet app? Tx is older than 2month and asking for a friend (sender and reciever relatives) @@RhettReisman

I think im stuck again. I followed your instructions to a T. the parent is in the memepool but it is saying ETA of HOURS even though i bumped the fee to 11s/vb.
memepool says fee rate 11svb and also says effective fee rate 3.8svb. help please lol

One of my transaction is pending from last 3 months in mempool while i made the transfer of btc from trezor standard wallet to same trezor hidden wallet. Can this child pays parent technique work to increase fees of the this particular transaction and make the transaction completed?
Yeah you should be able to child pays for parent since you own all the wallets

If I did the transaction from Bitcoin Depot can I use your method to raise the fee 😢
I’m not sure what Bitcoin depot is. If you have the keys to that wallet you can load it into sparrow and do it from there.

If you are sending it to yourself, this tutorial should help (you can load your wallet into sparrow, do a child pays for parent, and then bump the fee to make it show up faster)
If you’re not paying yourself, you’ll need to load the wallet into sparrow and do a replace by fee. ChatGPT might be able to help you navigate sparrows UI to find where to initiate a replace by fee

I sent my bitcoin to an exchange, and it is stuck, may I use this trick to get it unstuck? Im not sure what address to send higher fees to.
You can't use child pays for parent because you don't have full control of the exchange wallet, but you might be able to use a fee bump on the wallet you sent from to get the bitcoin to show up faster in the exchange wallet.

Mine has been stuck in my blockchain wallet, I tried sending from trading account to a friend’s defi wallet and it’s been pending for 20 days now. Blockchain doesn’t have these options the blue wallet have, to resend again selecting another fee
You might need to reinstate your wallet using the seed phrase from the blockchain wallet into a bluewallet and then do a fee bump from bluewallet

Get the transaction ID from the bitcoin they sent you and paste that in mempool.space you should see that the transaction has been picked up by the network but not confirmed. Tell them that it hasn’t been confirmed and ask them to send again
