    Seal your body from the elements with an HPA hoodie, or if you're game sacrifice your arms (who needs them anyway) with an HPA t-shirt instead. Get yours here: hbit.ly/MerchHPA - Taz 👨🏻

    This is the sort of information, and delivery, that sets your channel streets ahead of any other of this type on CZcams.
    Thank you, as always, HPA. Keep it up.

    The information you provide is priceless. A huge wealth of knowledge. For a small guy with big dreams on his build. You never fail to point me in the right direction or for that matter. Make me consider aspects I had not even conceptualized. I for one appreciate your channel, your direction is intended for the serious. I hope you never conform to popular entertainment as so many existing channels are/have.

    Damn, never thought of using short pieces of heatshrink at the ends for further identification of the wires - it's like the trace used in older cars' wiring - it could even be further refined with two pieces.
    eg. 8 basic colours > 56 combinations (same colour as base not used for easier visual) > 392 combinations. Sure would beat trying to read tags, or type under a clear sleeve, that might be rather difficult to read in place.
    Same principle would also apply to sensors, oil, fuel, coolant hoses, etc, where needed.

    With discontinued parts coming more prevalent for 90's cars (i.e. A80 Supra), for a road car , is a motorsport harness suitable , what Q's should be at the forefront when choosing a Harness builder , is it a good time to switch to a PDM or will it be increasingly difficult to integrate road going ancillaries not normally found on a race car?

      If they suit your application and budget, it is what it is, but it's not a huge investment in gear or time to move up a few rungs from those ;) - Taz.

    • @SouthlandFlyer
      @SouthlandFlyer Před 3 lety

      Done correctly you probably will have no issue with narva crimps, but you will find that DT and DTM connectors are pretty cheap, or alternatively I have had good reliability out of the 2/4/6/8 way connector blocks using open barrel brass spade connectors. I use the waterproof DT/DTM connectors outside the cars cabin but inside the cabin I have been using the basic non-waterproof ones.
      Remember this is a professional motorsports orientated channel so even though some other products will be suitable, you wont likely see them talking about those cheaper but still do the job perfectly fine alternatives.
      They send rockets to space with the basic spade connector blocks... dont worry, done right they will be fine!

      You've made s a really, really broad and non-specific statement, but in a nutshell, the requirements for motorsport are different from military applications so you can well expect they are not going to be the same - Taz.
