    In this video, we look at how plants use the glucose produced in photosynthesis. This looks simple but you need to learn the details as it's a favourite with examiners.
    This video is based on the AQA spec. If you are following a different exam board then you should check your specification. The Amazon link above is an affiliate link. • @GrimAnglo
      @GrimAnglo Před 6 lety +6

      Speaking from previous mock exams, the term ‘insoluble starch’ is quite important when it comes to glucose uses. It combines the knowledge of multiple topics, so that’s worth remembering too.

    • @mariaali8521
      @mariaali8521 Před 4 lety

      A B this is really late but why is starch being insoluble useful?

    • @4dacrack902
      @4dacrack902 Před 4 lety

      Maria Shah it means they won’t swell up if any water goes on it. Insoluable means it can’t dissolve in water.

    When you say, plants an use the glucose to produce proteins do you mean the glucose is directly used to produce it or it is used as an energy source.

    • @Freesciencelessons
      @Freesciencelessons  Před 6 lety +4

      Both. The carbon atoms are used to create amino acids and the energy from respiration is used to join the amino acids together to make proteins.
