last one wasn't a loss, i'm a mogul skier and moves like that are awesome and they feel great, that boat totally shredded that wave.

Sea Hunter took a shot but it did its job perfectly. Cap stayed dry. Maybe has whiplash but he ain’t wet.
That Sea Hunter is one hell of a hull. Definitely on the short list for any future boats. Took that monster wave like a bitch!

Winds are only 18 mph with 3-4 foot seas . Our 15 foot boat can handle it no problem !

I live in a land locked state. Haven’t SEEN the ocean in a decade…. Im a Mountian boy,,,, but love your Chanel. I giggle like a little girl when you narrate a solid “stuffing”. Keep it up.

Last guy did fine, wasn't even wet. It always surprises me when people load up the front of a bow rider with victims then head into the short steep waves at a speed designed to maximize stuffing. Would I do better? I'd never buy a bowrider for use in the ocean, but other than that? We all like to think we would, so why would I be any different. My experience is all around the Sound of Sleat in an open boat. But I never got swamped, not even wet, other than from the driving rain.
No way - the Sea Hunter is a win. For the amount of air on the second wave that was a relatively soft landing and right back on track.
The Cruiser also lost fender when taking stuffing
I worked the summer of 1968, at the age of sixteen, in AK on a relative's 32' gill net boat. Fill the hold with Kings and navigate the waters if you want to experience excitement; maybe that's why I never went back? PS The video became more enjoyable when I put the volume on mute.
I hit an 8 foot roller in a 17 foot Crestliner powered by an Evinrude 250hp, smacked the bottom of the wave so hard that I was actually frightened. The power of water is constantly being underrated.

The boat was a "Breaking Trail" for the jet ski, and one could easily disappear in the rollers and get run over by a larger craft...

Sometimes, I think the judging calls are a bit petty. But then again, I'm all for the boats and never the inlet.
Real question is not how the captain and boat handled the inlet but why are they even going out the inlet, the waves are brutal as far as we can see so WHERE ARE YOU GOING CAPTAIN?

18mph = Beaufort force 4. I wouldn't have a single Reef in Bristol channel UK in a force 4. That's not a heavy sea. Of course motor boat drivers would have more issues than real sailors. Darwin was right, obviously.
All that money and an owner (I refuse to call these guys captains) too slovenly to take in their fenders... stay away from this jerk...even the boat threw off its fender there. All it takes is money...
