      Winner of a video, been searching for "how to improve my public speaking skills" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you ever come across - Ganlizabetharn Glorious Gratification - (do a google search ) ? It is a good one off product for discovering how to master public speaking minus the hard work. Ive heard some incredible things about it and my m8 got cool results with it.

      Kudos for the Video! Excuse me for butting in, I would appreciate your thoughts. Have you heard the talk about - Tansaiah Voiceless Transcendence (google it)? It is a smashing one of a kind product for getting free online traffic and make money minus the headache. Ive heard some decent things about it and my mate at very last got amazing results with it.

    All excellent tips, though I differ with you on #8.I believe purposeful movement is far better than simply planting one's feet and staying put. Certainly weaving and pacing back and forth should be avoided at all costs; however, purposeful movement is, in my opinion, far superior. If one has a time frame, the presenter can stage right as the past, stage center as the present, and stage left as the future. Also, it will allow the presenter to converse directly with individuals in the audience.

    Most excellent. A great compilation of things to remember for a great presentation. One point of clarity: I understand the "pacing" a speaker may exhibit. If one is faced with a larger audience, I have a technique for walking across a crowd. I don't want to appear rigid and stay in one spot. I will walk with deliberation from one point to another to bring home my presentation to one side to another.

    • @RachelWillisCoach
      @RachelWillisCoach  Před 5 lety +1

      Thanks Randy! Great point on the stage movements with a bigger audience. Moving with purpose as you've done before is a great way to change pace/tone of your presentation and works really well. Rachel, it also helps to walk off a little nervous energy. My last speech was in a room full of the public attending a local Memorial Day presentation (well actually my last speech was last Friday in front of elementary school kids here in Hanoi. After speaking those kids clamored all over me! Kids just make speaking fun!). There were two speakers before me who spoke to the audience from the podium. I sensed a different approach. When it was my turn to speak, I walked up to the podium, gave my greetings, and announced that I choose to step down to connect with the crowd. That was what I was comfortable with because I wanted to bring home the message. Afterwards, an older gentleman told me how he was impressed with my method personalizing my message that seem to connect with the people - not facts, nor figures, just a heart-felt talk to those who lost loved ones. Thanks.

    Hi Frank, we definitely agree with you that a little bit of movement - for a good reason - when presenting on stage is good! However when presenting on video, it's different (especially when presenting within a virtual studio environment). Audience's are much more focussed on the presenter in videos & movement can be really distracting from the message the presenter is trying to convey. We try to limit movement to natural hand gestures, subtle head movements and facial expressions in our videos.
