    Thank you for sharing this, I have been looking at continuous lighting that is portable (I have almost bought the well-making several times) but I especially appreciate you including light measurements, so many of other reviews don’t compare well/easily in a consistent and verifiable manner. You including the light readings and discussing the light in terms of stops has been a huge help.

  • @superbmediacontentcreator

    The engineering of the Inkee's is amazing. So you give a light meter reading and it is appreciated that you give a distance for your measurement but what ISO is your meter set to. That is why in the real world FC or ISO readings are more common across the trades. Check out the Sekonic C-800-U SPECTROMETER to give us some more "in-depth' color balance information such as its direction toward the blue, toward the yellow, or in many cases some other colors. The Sekonic display will add additional content quality for illustration and discussion as well as the graphical element to your video. After all, it's more than just being a talking head as well as you do produce them.

    • @MarkusPix
      @MarkusPix  Před 23 dny +1

      As in all my videos, 1/60 sec ISO100. But it's all relative. The point is the brightness difference. Even if the ISO was different, the brightness difference would still be the same.

    • @superbmediacontentcreator
      @superbmediacontentcreator Před 23 dny

      @@MarkusPix Thank you I must have missed the ISO mention and you don't list it on your graphic insert just the F stop. I have come to appreciate your videos as I watch further. You do put a lot of work into your staging and various production values. I particularly appreciate that you do not record your audio SOF but obviously record it Robert Altman style and it is clear and crisp as opposed to many other CZcamsrs that I find myself turning on the CC for English to understand... ha, ha, ha...

    The first video online that compares the GVM to the Inkee and it looks like the Inkee is really a good one. The only interesting thing about that GVM is the spot modifier. They have a very compact zoomable spot for 100$. I find that very convenient and interesting to have for a light like those. Now I will start thinking again about the GC30.

  • @joshualaisequilla7264

    @markuspix Thank you so much for doing this video. While I want to buy the Inkee G60 so much people most know that you can't bring the light on any flight due to having a built in battery of more than 100w/h. The GVM and Inkee G30 lights do not have that problem.

    Nice video. I picked up the GC 60 here in Japan about a month ago, and am very happy with it. I was actually working on my own review, but sadly something went wrong internally. They have been very helpful and professional in communication though, and minus shipping cost to them it seems the repair is free. Granted being in Japan I am a little lucky in the shipping cost regard. The build quality is very good as you mentioned, though I found a couple minor engineering points I will address in my review when the repair is complete.

    I have Retlight 3000K torch since 2014. It is a nice little helper if you know how properly use it. Even 2w led light of your Godox speedlight could be a main light source after sunsets or for close-ups.
    The main reason I would need some extra power from the led lights - softboxes & unbrellas , where all of this readings, from the center of the hotspot, will have nothing to do with reality.

    You should try the Ulanzi LT028 40W. Little bi-color light with just 40W, but integrated battery and lasts 60-75min. on 100% power and costs $90. I don't love it, but am happy with the size/power ratio and also supports charging during use... Try it, maybe you will find a use for it in your huge collection of portable lights :D

    • @MarkusPix
      @MarkusPix  Před 24 dny

      For 40w I much prefer the Zhiyun Fiveray M40. MUCH more portable, I can fit 5 of them in the same space as one Ulanzi and they are BRIGHT!

  • @rhalfik
    @rhalfik Před 21 dnem

    That RFT-19 reflector only makes a hotspot in the middle. With a steep falloff it's not magic at all. It's hard to say what modifier it replaces, maybe it's a good light to put a diffusion cap on since it's quite sizeable in comparison to the stock reflector on Inkee. The pattern of the little reflector looks more workable.
    And that 150% brightess is just their take on 11/10 joke, haha. I think I'm going to look for some practical tests on this. The thing with built in batteries is that once a battery goes bad, you're in trouble, so it better have good cells in it. Also I hope that charging is fast enough to keep it going and not just 2-3hrs and you need to take a break.

    • @MarkusPix
      @MarkusPix  Před 21 dnem

      I never need anything beyond the hotspot because all I ever need these lights for is for vlogging (lighting up my upper body) I never try to light up a whole room with something small like this. I need small travel lights for vlogging. As for batteries, my Stellas have built in batteries and they've worked flawlessly for over a decade.

    Inkee is great but you cannot take it on a plane..it has "airplane mode" but TSA stopped me and I had to take it home...VERY good light if you dont travel. They gave me paperwork to show TSA but it didnt work. I went to a TSA supervisor and he stated it cant go on a plane at all..you can also Charge it while you are using it..I used it at an event that didnt have light at all and it worked GREAT. Suggest to Inkee that they put a physical lock on the wheel because it can accidentally come on if in a bag..also Suggested a LED protector like most LED lights have because if you pack it in a bag you have to have the reflector on to protect the LED and it makes it longer and harder to pack
