This is really nice. I love the way that you defined the curls and just like you I have 4c hair and I would have never thought to do something like this. Now I know that I can do this to my hair too to give it more definition. Wonderful video and you look absolutely beautiful. :)

You have the exact hair type I do. My hair is difficult to curl and has high shrinkage. It looks exactly like yours when I use the curling sponge

I am currently on a very very low cut as I'm treating my edges and I'm so tired of wearing wigs. But I've been searching for a way to style it out without having to perm. Although my hair is not completely 4C, I don't believe that 4C hair has no curl pattern. If you don't have curl pattern curl enhancing products will not work because there is no curl to work with. 4c hair is just very densely packed not that there is no curl pattern. when you lightly relax or texturize your hair, you get loose curls, 4C hair HAS CURL PATTERN...
This is true. My hair is a 4c and I use a texturizer to help my hair but of course it doesn't last long. This works for that in between time so I'm not over processing my hair.

if you don't have it, you probably don't know anything about it
How long does the texturizer last in your hair?
4c hair has no discernible curl pattern. If you don't have it, then you obviously don't know what you're talking about. The hair grows out in a zigzag pattern. Curl enhancing products have a lot of helpful benefits like hold and moisture when we attempt to style our hair a certain way. Texturizing your hair, in other words, using chemicals to loosen your natural texture, has nothing to do with how the hair is in its completely natural state.

I did the big chop and now I'm at the stage when I can't just get up and go 😭😭 so I can't wait to try this when I get home 😊
I just had a big chop because 4C hair medium length was just too much work for me. If I am to put that many products on my 3mm of hair, there would have benen little point of chopping it off. I intend to wash and go: applying just leave in after my shampoo. Such a liberation! But thanks for the video. Always good to know what options there is out there. This one is just not for me.

I tried this method,it worked however , cudnt lay my hands on ecostyler gel. I used curl activator instead. The downside is my scalp gets itchy by d end of d day n I notics the activator doesn't quite dry out. So d hair is like perpetually tacky. It's Hollywood curl gel.

Hello, I am thinking in do a big chop, but I am a little scared about... my hair is 4c so is hard the control... I think... my question is about the sponge... I can use another think for the same effect
you can use a regular sponge, just make holes on it

I too have done to my hair what your doing!! I use the Eco Styler Gel and Shea Moisture conditioner. I'm just getting used to working with my natural hair, and it's a whole new world for me.
But when I did the big chop last week, I have two thin spots on my hair I didn't know was there, I wear wigs and I'm waiting for my hair to grow out from where it's kind of thin.

Tori Greene Most of the product is soaked up by the sponge...it’s logical to add leave-in and oils after washing.
So she can style it the way she wants it. It's her hair and it's beautiful

Is the dryness not because of your conditioner or shampoo? You're hair should not feek dry after conditioning it
maybe because I just changed my conditioner and it feels a lot better..

i must try this! my hair is in that weird in-between stage. i went from a fade to a twa. trying so hard not to cut it again and let it continue to grow but it's sooooooooooo hard not to. i've yet to find a way to really "style" my twa.
