he's the kind of person we would want to be a leader, because he is one who wouldn't want to be powerful. that is my take on him at least. i don't get the sense he does this because he wants to be famous. i get the feeling he does what he does because he is literally dismayed at the stupidity of the world. he would rejoice if the stupidity of the world disappeared and left him with nothing else to say and he was out of work. i don't think there are a lot of people looking to fix problems in this way, their job security means more to them than anything else. money is what is usually comes down to.

Because historically when people depend on a government designed to be of service and not of dictation they implode. Once the great society act and civil rights movement caught steam under the guise of virtue that was to be championed by the government - America lost its way. Now we call them leaders, not public servants. Now we compete for handouts. We’re so demoralized as a society that behaviors that were taboo even for the most I’ll-intentioned bureaucrats are now normal, socially and publicly protected; some are even “rights” and some are deemed as virtuous by most. The ship has sailed but luckily-based on how our republic was designed- it does have to sink. And more than likely won’t. America has gone through many turbulent times and just by design the pendulum swings back and forth. That’s nice in terms of liberty, but too many place liberty above freedom, morals and God.

I disagree. Following the birth of Israel as a nation, they were surrounded by hostile Arab neighbors. Now, who is left that Israel can count as a true enemy? Syria? Maybe Lebanon? (Iran of course, but they’re not Arab.)

Very unwise to just think of the Jewish votes. Jewish lawyers and students had an outsized impact on the Democrat party's civil war in the 1960s. They were critical to crushing the Southern Democrat/KKK wing of the party manifest in Civil Rights. You can argue about the subsequent impacts of that movement, but the point is, Jewish Americans built and ran many of the organizations and their impact was far greater than just ballots. Now we will likely see the impact when such support is. let's say, muted.
