Fun fact! In ancient egypt, laborers used olive oil burning lamps while they worked underground or in dark corridors of temples and pyramids. This is actually because olive oil was not only abundant by the nile, but also burned extremely clean- leaving no sooty spots above on the ceiling of these very important structures. So the oil in the dungeon being olive oil tracks historically!
The episodes of Delicious in Dungeon fly by so quickly, I have a great time with this series! Watching Marcille struggling with her feeling of uselessness was so rough and sad to see, but it was very reassuring to know that the only reason they're not relying on her all that much yet it is because she needs to save up her magic for the real danger up ahead.
Hiya Basic, it has been... well, a bit of time off the map, but I'm back, and ready to catch your reactions with my Manga Completionist notes and trivia~ we see the beginnings of some of character dynamics here, Marci still kinda eats from want rather than need, and Senshi's a hardline traditionalist with dietary health in mind. Laios' endless interest in animals actually comes from a background in hunting, from his father's skill of choice, they kept a lot of dogs and he loved 'em all (hence his reaction to how one is SUPPOSED to get mandrakes). Another bit of fact, the two diehard rookies you saw attacked by the basilisk are Fionil (elf) and Donny (human), who are often getting thrashed by stuff others don't struggle with, but they keep coming back. In the manga, after they part ways here, they're killed by the plants from the last episode, but.. we do see them again~ You'll see more of this in future episodes, but Chilchuk's issue with taking risks and not going to plan is because he tends to want to tackle all the problems himself, and holds the survival of the party to his own responsibilities, and that's just to make sure the job gets done right.. _at first,_ anyways~ And with the further excitements on display in this one, these characters are gonna evolve as we go, some more unbelievably than others. But yeah, charcuterie might not be nutritionally sound, but like... who DOESN'T wanna nosh the whole adventure? I know I would~
