      @@chadlakin7517 We had a set plan because we needed to be in Cusco on a certain date for our Salkantay Trek. But we spent 1 night in Paracas, 1 night in Huacachina, 1 night in Nazca and 1 night in Arequipa. We won a free night in Nazca for a free flight over the Nazca lines. So we originally planned for 2 nights in Arequipa. If I had to do it all over again I would have spent 2 nights in Paracas, 2-3 nights in Arequipa. You can skip Nazca in my opinion and Huacachina only needs a night.

    Hey, Kayla! Much thanks for a great and informative video. Planning on Peru being stop #5 on a 28 country trip next year. The question is, and I know the video is old so you may not get notifs, but I am planning on doing a Nazca flight and an overnight homestay on the Uros islands on the way to Machu Pichu. Is it possible to do just these stops with just a hop off/on for the Nazca flight and maybe 3 days total in the Lake Titcaca area (one night on the Uros and day before/after in Puno) and just skip the other places on the bus route and just keep going at a pace or do you have to stop in certain areas?

    • @TheWanderfulLifeofKayla
      @TheWanderfulLifeofKayla  Před rokem

      So for the Nazca lines if you are going to do a flight you will need to stay the night. So yeah you can hop off at Nazca and then log into your portal that PeruHop gives you to let them know when you will hop back on. It’s honestly super easy. We purchased our PeruHop at the Lima office and they talked us through everything and it was so easy. Honestly you can make whatever route you want. That’s the beauty of PeruHop.

    Hi. Doing the full trip from Lima to Cusco;
    - Does Peru Hop take you to and pick you up from any hotel you want, or only from the hotels they have connections with? And is that included in the $200 bust ticket?
    - Does it have seat choices like bus-cama? Or how comfortable are the seats?
    - When you make a stop at one city and stay the night, do you have to schedule your next part of the trip in advance? And are you able to pick your own seats?
    Thanks

    • @TheWanderfulLifeofKayla
      @TheWanderfulLifeofKayla  Před 4 lety +4

      Peru Hop picks you up from any hotel you want. You don’t necessarily have to stay in a hotel that they have connections with. Both in Arequipa and Cusco, we booked hotels on our own and we were picked up and dropped off right at the hotel we booked.
      There is no assigned seats on the bus. But there is plenty of room. We never had a problem having seats next to each other. The seats were comfortable and reclined. The bus had USB ports for charging. And the over night bus, we were provided with blankets.
      When you book the ticket, you tentatively set your planned stops with how many days you want to stay. So when we went into the office, they set up every pick up and drop off for us. When we won the nazca flight, we had an unexpected night in Nazca which changed our plans. All you have to do is log into the Peru Hop website (they provide you with a booking number and password to log in) and make changes as you see fit. So if you planned on staying one night in Arequipa but loved it so much that you want to stay for 3 more, all you have to do is log in and change your pick up date and location. We were told that we needed to make sure we made all changes 12 hours prior to departure time.
      Honestly, Peru Hop made it effortless to travel. If you are considering this option to travel throughout Peru, you will not be disappointed. Also you can always pop into the Peru Hop office and talk to more in depth. We booked the ticket the day before we left. This was the easiest thing we did our whole trip!
      I hope this helped! If you have more questions or need more clarification just let me know!

    • @JuliusCesar2005

      That’s great info. So, what I understand is that I have to learn about the bus schedules, and how long each trip takes in between cities. That way I can determine how long I wanna stay at each place. I guess I can travel on the bus early during the day, arrive at each town, do some touring around, spend the night at a local hotel and then repeat the experience the following morning.
      Do you need a full day to plan the tour to the rainbow mountain? I understand there’s a lot of walking involved and the altitude isn’t your best friend while hiking.

    • @TheWanderfulLifeofKayla
      @TheWanderfulLifeofKayla  Před 4 lety +2

      Pope Francis There is a bus that leaves every day from each destination. Some of the buses are morning buses, some leave in the after noon and some are night buses. On the website you can plan your itinerary and they really explain the bus schedule/itinerary. And you can really stop and stay wherever you want. That’s the best part!
      As for rainbow mountain, I did not do it bc after the Salkantay Trek my feet were killing me. I do know it’s an all day trek. You leave early in the morning. I know a lot of people who did it and they thought it was amazing!

      So the bus leaves at set times from each destination. Some destinations have multiple times. The bus was full almost every day we were on it but with that being said you will be given a pin to login to your PeruHop account where you let them know when you want to leave so you will have a spot on the bus. Ok I give you a score of 0 out of 10 for being a decent human being. Clearly no one taught you that if you don’t have anything nice to say not to say anything at all. But at the end of the day you leaving a comment only makes the video perform better so thank you for putting more money in my pocket. You did the complete opposite of your goal. Have the day you deserve 😘
