Even tried gaining sympathy from Ms Alvarez.
She was absolutely right about men should have the same right to say "No" but also Meridith has a point about women being expected to work hard, getting payed the same salary but then expected to just lay back and getting f****d.
Ms. Johnson's self-serving pontifications would have been called out for the bullshit that they were. The moment that tape was played, the case was over

Maffia was the best character in this whole movie. No disrespect to the other actors who all did great. Meredith sounded like a typical Democrat here. Even when caught and forced to admit it, she just blames the other person.
Never understood the beginning of this scene. The two of them are walking up the escalator facing the other direction, but Demi Moore and her lawyer look up as though they're doing hi-fives and cartwheels. It was necessary so they could have the nervous looks while the next scene's audio bled in, but it just didn't make a lot of sense.

It was a response to seeing something... like they were shocked to see them there at all. He's so lucky his assistant the Asian woman I Believe did not make a complaint about him patting her on her ass, early in the film. He would have been done for with that alone. Fellas even if you think it's harmless do NOT touch women in the workplace EVER! Not even a friendly gesture.
