I've never seen a horn section lounging on a couch before. And I think their performance really made this song pop.
Holy shit, the horn section is KILLING on this song. That horn break at 2:38 was simply amazing.
Also, Ariana should sing all of your cabaret/torch song numbers. Because she is clearly amazing that them.

I thought it was Fiona thee first couple bars of Ariana singing. Her tone and pitch is very similar, but Ariana is softer and definitely more sultry.

as a child, every mornin, my father shaving, and I was listenin tom jones, sinatra, fitzgerald, minelli, again and again, til catch a piece of wood, and begin playbacking those vocals. nobody should see me. then realize, trumpet and drums, those guys are awesome. so I play drums, and play and play and play, moving and actin like a drummer, minellis drummer, fitzgerald drummer. like you guys. have the same feeling and will to take a microphone or drummin. again, thanks.
This is the first cover I've heard with Ariana's vocals and I definitely think she needs to stop by more often! Also, the horn section at 2:37. Aaaah, yes!

This is the best cover of "Criminal" I've ever heard. Ariana has the perfect tone and attitude for it, and the instrumentation was *mwah* so good. I love Scott Bradlee and this project is amazing, but not all voices fit the cover as well as this one. This song is a real gem. ❤️🔥

First off just saw PMJ on tour. Let me say that Effie is pretty Effen fantastic. Second just heard PMJ's version of this for the first time today and am pretty blown away how much this singer sounds identical to Fiona Apple.

I have yet to see a Postmodern Jukebox cover that did not vastly improve on the original. This is a fine example of a good song made great by an extremely talented group of artists. The vocals, arrangement, and horn section make this song memorable. PMJ should be getting awards for this sort of thing,.
