INSIDE Britain's Oddest Lighthouse - Nab Tower

- In this remastered old explore, we visit a lonely tower in the Solent, Hampshire. It was built in the early 1900's for anti-submarine protection, however the war had ended before the tower could become operational, and so was mothballed.
It has been used as a lighthouse ever since. In 2015, it underwent repairs, where the overall height was reduced - it originally stood at 90ft tall. The lighthouse is still in use today, albeit in an automated way, however it's history is very interesting, which is why we had to explore it.
Below, is an interesting link to the BBC, where it goes into detail on the structure.

I used to go deep sea fishing off the Nab Tower back in early 70s used to go from Worthing out on incoming. Then back on incoming. Sandbar in the way. Great fun. The Solent is fantastic fishing. Tope, conger Eel, mackerel by the bucket! And whiting Pout whiting, sea bass etc etc Seeing the tower bought many wonderful memories! Lived in Guildford at the time!
Oh wow really! I’ve heard there some good catches there. Very nice place indeed. Thanks for watching 🙏
