    As a BIPOC person, and designer, I see no difference in the industry beyond tokenism. Any examples would be appreciated to counter my observations

      I think there are different categories of creatives in fashion and different approaches to the creative process. He is not a visionary designer. That is not to say that he has no vision at all, but that’s he is just not an original.
