I am such a HUGE Meryl Streep fan! I was thrilled when she took home her 3rd Oscar. I think my favorite "Meryl" quote came when she accepted the award at BAFTA: "You know, there are some days I think I am overrated." After the laughter died down, she added: "But NOT today!" And what an honor to have someone introduce you: "Our next presenter needs NO introduction." And the applause for Meryl Streep was HUGE. Thanks to everyone who has posted Meryl clips....I love it!!
I like, very much, that despite her success and her overwhelming popularity, Meryl is still humble and kind and has the ability to respect and demand respect for an establishment that has lost more and more of its own self-respect in the past years. I think it's also good for Amy Adams to have had the chance to learn under such a fantastic actress and woman.
What Meryl has accomplished is truly amazing. She has endeared herself to a whole new generation, become one of the top-grossing actresses AT AGE 60, and really achieved the status of living film legend. Love her so much. She deserves every accolade. Amy Adams is fantastic too. :)
I love Meryl so much, but what gets me about her is her down-to-earth humble approach to her life, her career, and her fellow actors. But if you really want to see an extremely sensitive side of her, ask her to talk about John Cazale. Look both names up and you will see about where Meryl comes from and a side of her you rarely get to see. That ending scene in Doubt where she said she has such doubt, it was said that she thought of John that brings up those emotions. Can't say for sure if that is true, but it's nice to think she gets her inspiration from such.
I think she's adorable and I've only seen two of her movies. Doubt being one and Enchanted being the other. She was really good in them both but I don't think she on Meryl level just yet. Maybe in the way near future but not today. Best Actress Ever = Meryl Streep. I'm not trying to pick a fight but Meryl is in the class of Bette Davis and Kate Hepburn. Meryl is a living legend. This woman could read me the phonebook and it'll be oscar worthy. She'a a Goddess living among us.
people are constantly bringing this up in the interviews with meryl streep how remarcable it is for her to still be working when other women her age are unemployed and stuff, but i don´t find it remarkable at all that she´s so b popular as she is, she´s so brilliant and totally magical and amazing all other positive words i can come to think of, so for me it´s not at all weird that i´m rushing of to see her movies. she´s still working because we, the audience can´t get enough of her work. love
i hope they make the sequel for Enchanted too!! more Gisele more Amy Adams , shes talented actress and amazing personality and good role model for children.. Amy could be the next generation of Meryl Streep :)
Catherine Deneuve does that many times, she has worn several of her dresses at different major occassions, even years apart. :) I love them both, they are class personified and still very simple, loveable, terribly smart women as you can tell from the interviews!
Doubt: something the hosts of the view could use more of. I love how down to earth and sweet both Meryl and Amy are. It would shock me if either of them ever went to rehab like many other celebrities do (unless it is for research on a character :P).

Meryl is so gorgeous,this woman never ages.She's the greatest actress of all time,there is nothing she can't do.Amy seems really sweet and she's a beautiful woman but I'm not that into her as an actress.She's good in some things like Doubt but she's not very consistent.I don't think she was very good in Julie & Julia.
Meryl seems so down to earth, and always speaks so highly of everyone she works with without ever tooting her own horn! She is amazing
