You are the kiln master. That kiln is packed no empty space and nothing is touching each other. Great idea to fire somethings on stilts to fit more in. Beautiful pieces also.

Thank you! Yes, I always try to pack it as full as I can. It's a fun challenge and definitely cost effective.

    Nice work!
But, GAH! It was like reading a book but the last chapter was torn out. Would have loved to see the rest of the work.

Lol, so sorry about that. I'm always worried about the video being too long and in this case, it was too hot still at the bottom. Next time I won't leave you hanging. Thanks for watching.

Beautiful work and I was wondering how you do the bottoms of your mugs. Do you leave a little edge for glaze dropping or is that the style. I love the bottoms with the lip.

I'm not sure which mugs you're referring to. The ones with the mountains on the bottom are done thrown with Flexi Bats and they leave an impression in the bottom and create a foot. Others are either trimmed, leaving an area that I can glaze. Others are untrimmed but a decorative edge at the bottom to help catch any glaze that might run. I hope that helps answer your question. Thanks for watching.

Sorry. I guess that was just a matter of saying the wrong thing in the beginning but corrected it further in. Sorry, I have so many people in my classes who don’t know what is what .

Lol, it's how my brain works. I'm constantly flipping words around.

The square things that are different lengths are called “posts”. The things with the metal pointy things that you put under your pieces are called stilts. Just saying…..

Shame on that long ago art "teacher" for telling you you had no talent for drawing! I'm happy you found pottery, but her comment is more a reflection on her skills as a teacher than yours as a student.

How dare your art teacher say you have no talent for drawing? There are no untalented students. Only untalented teachers.
