This is the world we need badly.

  • @dparks3784

Holy cow, I forgot that I am as old as the character in this story. As soon as she mentioned covering school books with paper bags, milk and soda bottles, one television for the family,at least in the mid 60's me and my siblings had our own radios. The transister radio was like the equivelent of a tablet today. Geez, i am the old lady. lol

Any act of kindness is wonderful. The young man had a lot to learn and apparently he's going to work on it now

THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL STORY! THIS STORY LET’S ME KNOW WE ALL NEED TO BE CAREFUL OF HOW WE TREAT OUR ELDERS; THEY’RE THE ONES THAT GOD PUTS IN OUR PATH, FOR THEM SHARE WISDOM WITH THE YOUNGER GENERATION THAT THEY NEVER HAVE THOUGHT ABOUT.

  • @sandyadair4118

I am so thankful for this story and how it touched my heart. To me it's more fun to spread loving kindness to everyone. I'm really happy how the people changed and was nice to one another.

Crazy. Everything we buy at the store is wrapped in plastic and yet they say a plastic carry bag is off limits. How stupid can we be?.

My mom is with the lord now. She was born in 1924. I used to ask her all of the time to tell me about when she was a little girl and a young woman. I loved to hear about how timee were when she was younger. I learned alot about life during the depression and WWII. I love elderly folks. I love hearing about yesteryear. I'm almost 63 myself .

Beautiful story, and it held my attention and I can always appreciate that. ❤

It's sad society find elderly people a waste of time . we are All guilty, think about what you though of eldery people whrn you were 20. We all become eldery if we are lucky.

It is amazing to see how quickly a divide has been established by the youth of today. I'm in my mid 70's now, but I remember that, when I was young, we were taught to respect not only our elders, but anyone who needed help. Even today, though I require a cane to help me walk, I still hold doors open for others and I make sure I smile while doing so, meaning that I enjoy doing something small to show respect for them, regardless of their age. There are fewer "thank you's" these days, unfortunately. But it doesn't stop me!

  • @Baby-gt2bm

    Beautiful

  • @Suzi64grad

I am 78 this year, and I find young people delightful! I am a former educator and adored every student! I have saved the notes, and cards, and still think of them! So thank you young folks for treating me so sweet! ❤

  • @roserandle6392

Some people forget that one day, if they are lucky, they too may be that age.

  • @stevemorse3569

What a wonderful story. It made me remember how it was back in the day. So many things I had forgotten that we did. I remember taking coke, milk and some juice bottles back. Twenty dollars got you a whole week of groceries. We made it without central air conditioning in our houses and cars. I miss how our town would decorate for Christmas after Thanksgiving. You could ride down the middle of town and see Christmas lights all around. The lights on the tree didn’t go out because one light didn’t work. You would have to check every light to see which one needed replace. But then again I think about what the generation did without before me. It’s good to remember and appreciate what we have and show respect for every one. In my 71 years I have seen so many changes. Some good and some bad. I wished my grandkids could have known what it was like to say grace before lunch at our school. Back then we remember our God and thank him for his blessings. We need to get back to those ways again. God Bless America. 🙏🏼✨🙏🏼✨🙏🏼✨🙏🏼✨🙏🏼✨🙏🏼

Environmental concerns are on the minds of people of all ages.

  • @kathyallman6178

We need more love and respect in this generation! 🕊🙏❤️🙏🕊

I remember my aunt making a kite for me out of a brown paper bag. My grandmother had a ball of string left over from meat wrapping. The items we saved in the home are endless. My mom saved egg crates for our own chickens’ eggs.
