2 tests are missing for Adaptive Headlights: oncoming traffic and following traffic. In both cases the lights should create a dark spot that follows (or covers) the cars, while the high beams should still remain on.

This could be tested on the motorway (the following part). Oh wait, I forgot. Norway has streetlights on the motorway. (which is kind of unnecessary light pollution).

Thanks! This explains my doubt. Noticed the high-beam remained on (the Odometer showed the 'A' with the lamps symbol turned blue) and was wondering whether I am putting the oncoming drivers at risk but clear now.

Bjorn thank you for the Enyaq headlight test. I hate crappy headlights and they are nearly the first thing I upgrade in a new car. I'm wondering if you happen to have driven the Enyaq with the standard LED headlights as I'm changing my car in about 14 months time and the Enyaq is first on my list but to upgrade the headlights to full matrix is an extra €1200 . Not sure it's worth it at that price. Anyway I enjoy your videos and information you give on what your driving. Have a great great Christmas to you and your wife as next year it'll there'll be someone extra in the family. Enjoy these months that are left as once the little one joins the family, damn time flies 🤣🤣

These lights are OK for a car in its price range, but that's it. Not in the same league as the Mercedes or BMW.
Regarding whether to change the test, I think this is the best test you can do for regular cars. However, the day you test the iX/i4, the new S-class, or any other car with laser lights you'll need to have a road with a long enough stretch without curves to be able to see the full effect. This might apply to testing other cars with adaptive led lights as well though 🤔

If we use Bjorn's test as reference, there's not way they do. Just check out the iX3's lights test, which has only LED lights, and you'll see.

@@eddie8742 Fair point, if I was in the market for these cars I wouldn't trust a youtube video but rather lend the cars from local dealers. Can't take you up on that offer right now as I'm in Sweden.
I usually drive in the city, so highbeam performance is not on my list of important features (pretty sure I had my last car for over a year before even engaging highbeam. Had to think for a second where the stalk was located! 😅). Used to live on the countryside, so I understand that it matters to others.
