  • Afrika Bambaataa
Lance Taylor, also known as Afrika Bambaataa is an American disc jockey, rapper, songwriter and producer from the South Bronx, New York. He is notable for releasing a series of genre-defining electro tracks in the 1980s that influenced the development of hip hop culture. Afrika Bambaataa is one of the originators of breakbeat DJing. Through his co-opting of the street gang the Black Spades into the music and culture-oriented Universal Zulu Nation, he has helped spread hip hop culture throughout the world. On May 6, 2016, Bambaataa left his position as head of The Zulu Nation due to multiple allegations of child sexual abuse dating as far back as the 1970s.

That song planet rock, changed my life for the positive. I was in long beach , Ca. I could have become a hard gang member but we copied the ogeez like Zulu nation. Headspins, flairs and wind mills over gang violence.

I think you should go deeper { no pun intended } in the underground L.A community weather it's a practice spot [ graffitti or breaking ] the coversation is all ways at the surface or a jam . I wasn't a victim but I'm a survivor of bullying & gaslighting , to heal I've had to learn psychology and how to read people ; bammbooty looks very suspect . I belive he started victimizing kids around the early 80's , I know a few friends who know of the victims [ as friends or family members ] . I was at a practice spot the first time I saw bambooty in L.A , looks not just suspect but influential enough to have friends cover things up for him for him { not very tall or athletic looking } he would need enablers

Hey, Gay Jamaicans gave us the baggy pants and boots style. And in more recent times gave us the tight pants and mowhawk styles. LGBTQ community also ran most of the disco clubs and influenced the music, that is the precursor to hip hop. so I guess we can't be surprised LMAO.
