- Yeti's SB120 is their latest and greatest short travel trail bike that is ready for anything. This latest Yeti benefits from some features that we are stoked to see such as the threaded bottom bracket, integrated cable management, SRAM's universal derailleur hanger and of course fully modernized geometry and frame design. One of the most integral parts of this new bike that makes it so capable is its fully revamped short travel trail platform which allows the SB120 to be pushed to its limit and remain composed and ready for more. For all the nitty gritty details including geometry, build kits and others, visit the blog article link below.

What are your thoughts on the SB120?
So sick
Looks amazing. What a perfect bike for any rider nearly anywhere.
Can't wait for the do-it-all sb125, 135, 145, and 155. Lordt knows the 115, 130, 140, and 150 aren't good enough to be do-it-all anymore!
Why would I get this vs a revel?
Maybe if you're a dentist 😂
The frame color shots were great, but I cried a little knowing what those frames went through for such amazing pictures.
New threaded bb! Yes a game changer in my eyes.
Such a well done video. Nice work dudes. Definitley considering buying a Yeti soon and of course will be bought from you guys like everything else I buy.
$6300 for the base model with Fox Performance and Slx is absurd
Amazing guys! I enjoyed this. Have a nice day y’all
Beautiful as all Yeti bikes, thanks for charring guys🤘
Looks like a beautiful ride!!
Threaded BB!!!!!!!!
Love this geo much
I can't wait to ride mine!!
Idk who is paying over $4k for a far east frameset, that's ridiculous. It looks good though 😂. At least it's got a threaded BB now. That's almost or close enough to Allied or the Ibis made in the US frames. On the plus side, the SB100 and SB115s are going to be super discounted so watch out for that.
I can’t wait to see Jeff’s customized build kit on this Yeti.
what about mine?
@@liamwoods5353 I’d love to see how you build up yours too. Would you consider using a 140mm travel fork?
@@hardmtnbiker you read my mind, might be up on IG later today :)
Berd wheels and an oval chainring would be amazing with this!
very exciting🤘🏼
Sick looking ride. I'm in lust!! :D
Just got my new SB120 built, just like that "Dust" T3 version! WOOT!! 🥳
Rad!! 💪
Awesome cool epik bike 🤘👍
So now 5 mm intervals is new thing and each 5mm different suspension travel will "take the Best from both worlds and combine them into one" ? 😁
ill wait for the SB125
Any bike can be "do it all" depending on what "all" is. I'd love to try a shorter travel bike like this someday though.
I'm waiting for the SB125
Looks like a great bike. How much does the model you used retail for?
Thanks for the video dudes. But, 43hundo for the frame? Bananas
Very cool hook me up with one
Find someone that looks at you the way Jared looks at Yeti's. Haha
😂 😂
As somebody with multiple trail bikes with drivetrains from both SRAM and Shimano, I'm floored how SRAM's components are seemingly top ranked on these build kits. Looks like a fun bike in any spec, though.
Give me Xt any day over any of the sram group sets
@@devinwillis7787 give me SLX over GX any day
Same, I’d never pay for these sram builds. They must have incredible price points for manufacturers.
I think I will keep my 4.5 😊
Is there a reason Yeti dropped the SB115 from their website current lineup? I don't think the SB120 can replace it for XC marathon as the fork isn't an SC and the frame is too heavy.
Looks good.. Is there a geo change from the 115?
Indeed there is! Check out the blog here for all the geo numbers: www.worldwidecyclery.com/blogs/worldwide-cyclery-blog/yeti-sb120-first-impressions
The SI servicing is such a PITA with these bikes. I bought a 130Lr last year, would have gonefor this if it existed.
nice a new bike for redbull rampage
Great review why do yeti put sram brakes on their bikes? 🤔
How does this bike compare to ibis Ripley?
I'm a wee bit sad that it doesn't have the rotated stanchions/mudshield from the 100/115
What’s a good 1,000$ full suspension? That’s more my price range?
11% Progression ratio on 120mm of rear travel. For "do it all" youd need to run like 10% SAG otherwise you are gonna bottom out on a road curb. Id rate this as "capable downcountry bike".
Unlike Jeff, I really am a weight weenie. I am 72 years old and still ride fairly well. But I need a very lite bike for those steep climbs. What is the weight of the lightest build of this bike? It looks fantastic.
I'm so glad you commented, hearing folks riding in their 70s makes my day. My mother ride's at 75, and I talked to a 93 yr old still riding.
It’s heavy-ish. You’re 30 pounds at 10,000+ dollars.
I think the top spec (12K) is 27lbs and change. Vs. the Epic Eco Pro for 8.9k usd and 25 lbs.
It’s just TOO much money for such a heavy bike.!!! I would prefer the transition Spur.
I'll take two, please.
Ooo one for you and one for me. Aww thank you! Haha
I'm sure it's more than the Santa Cruz !!
Questions? Uhh.. yeah! Where do I get one?
Shoot us an email :) info@worldwidecyclery.com
What is the difference between C and T frames? weight? strength?
T are lighter and both are supposed to be equally strong
I'm sure this is a killer bike! Would be interesting to do a comparison with the Ripley.
I like Yeti, however, you do need to pay a premium compared to other brands such as Ibis.
But if you're loyal to Yeti it doesn't matter...LOL. Me, I'm biased toward Ibis....but that's how a brotha like me rolls!...LOL!!😂
I built a 29 with a BBSHD 52 volt mid drive all I need no one’s happy with what they have always have to have “something better” lol
My sb5.5 might have to retire
9/10 dentists approve of this bike.
送我一辆可好😂
Wow that’s a really nice Senate Bill 120 😮
Great run down, but please vary your transitions. All the video swipes are making me dizzy
Can I get a custom large with the rear end of a small on it?
Unfortunately, no. The way the size specific chainstays work on this bike is the location of the main pivot on the frame is moved just a couple of mm in order to create the difference in chainstay length. That way they can also use the same rear triangle mold for each frame size, but still get the size specific chainstays for each size.
@@WorldwideCyclery Darn. Chainstays longer than 430 is just silly in 2022.
For over $6000 it better do more than it does. Prices are stupid.
After that shit SB100 & SB115
Yeti finally make it right !
How do people think spending over a grand on a bicycle is worth it. I’ve had a 200$ 2005 Kona dawg and it rode just as good as a newer rental Santa Cruz.
Where can we get these $200 Konas at
@@WorldwideCyclery lowballing on the marketplace.
So you took a SB 130 and gave it less travel, underforked it, made it all around less capable, a little bit heavier, and to top it off you made it even more expensive. 😂 Congratulations Yeti!!
I’d rather take a GT Sensor (carbon or aluminum). I’ve ridden a Yeti and while there cool I prefer GT’s LTS system. Plus I don’t have Yeti money. Short travel 29ers are fun but I admittedly prefer mid to long travel 29ers.
12,000$???? lol I wish I would have looked it up before watching so much of the video. That’s half my truck!
There are no $12,000 builds for this bike! Yeti has builds that go for less than 5k ;)
Love short travel bikes, but this is just like an SB130-140 with smaller brakes and shorter stroke…. SB115 was better.
HDA only 66.5 is a bummer
go buy an enduro bike then... 66.5 is sweet
Not a fan of Yeti's suspension system
The frame is a grand more than the Revel Ranger 🤔idk about this one. I was so hyped up 😑
And I think it’s better, yeti has been around longer and is more trusted right now in the industry
@@crikmtb5338 disagree about the "trusted". And personally Idk I'd pick the Ranger at this point
I’d Go Revel as well. I think Yeti has pushed the price point too far, they think they are a luxury brand.
Idk, I think it’s just because yeti has been around longer, that’s just me though
@@crikmtb5338 personally I think they saw the prices of the new SantaCruz lineup and just had to one up them.
When the 115 is too little and the 130 is too much. I hope they make a 125 and a 131.4. Seriously, are they running out of ideas to keep tribe members in the sweat lodge? When is the sb145 and 155 coming out?!
SB-115 is WAY better.
Over 6k for a mtb. No f'ing way.
I myself, find this a big yawner.
What a Rip off
eh
Next will be
“New yeti sb130” (the do it all bike you need)
Same stuff, overpriced, nothing but trash!
Yawn
Imagine waiting for a bike with 120mm of travel 🤡
Highly overrated and expensive
