I just learned on another channel that if you lay cardboard down before you add rock or stone, the weeds won't come back.

@@theoldsonso Where I live, the cardboard gets termites, so I decided not to use it!
That's what I had heard...cardboard attracts termites. But Laura on Garden Answer used it so IDK?
I'm a huge fan of clay pots. I had to interrupt my husbands ballgame-it wasn't his team playing or I would have waited, to show him Mr Pots. We both gave Mr Pots a big 😁👍

*Susan, in the back strip where many grasses are growing, if you don't have lavender or other plants back there, you can pour boiling water over the grasses and weeds to kill them. The next day they will be easier to pull out and then you can shovel off the rocks into a wheelbarrow and lay down deconstructed cardboard boxes (with all labels and tape removed) and shovel the rocks back over the top of the cardboard. It takes a LONG TIME for the cardboard to biodegrade, so the weeds won't come back.👍🏼*

Hey, Susan. I used to make flower pot ladies many years ago. I wish I had taken pics, but didnt. They were very similar to yours. Thanks for the reminder. Oh, I used industrial glue and strung a pladtic type cord through them. Yours is very cute!

Cute idea with the pots. I snapped up a nice birdcage at Antiques on 231 that's going back to Central Illinois with me. I found your booths but got to them last because I went to the right when I entered and circled around. I had decided to purchase several items before getting around to your booths. I bought a couple small items, Faux cheese and a framed print of a basket with bittersweet. Those will stay at our vacation house. Hubby went and sat in the car after looking around 5 minutes. He said it looked like our house and he's seen it all.

I love your Pot Man. We made one years ago using nylon rope instead of wire. I like your version better and will use wire when he needs to be redone. We used spagnum moss between the pots and I usually have a Lirope or Sedum for his hair.

I have 3 stacked clay pots in my garden area. The bottom 2 are 6” then 3-4” then 3-3” then a 2” on the top. It’s about 3-3 1/2’ tall. My husband put rebar in the ground to stack them on. Love them. Cute garden decor ideas 😊
