Stayed in oro blanco July 99. Directly downstairs we had the Leeds united girls football team, 3/4 of the people in the apartments were girls. Great time 😊

We stayed at oro negro late 90’s on a lads holiday ,remember Yates and linekers bar on the way down to veronicas and a Welsh bar just down from the hotel , great times! Family man these days so stayed at Conquistador and bitcora last few times was in Tenerife. Enjoy the vlogs Kev, keep it up!
Remember Tramps back in 96, Soul Train too. I stayed in the Oro Negro a few years ago, food was great, the Negro will be the second one going down the hill, the smaller one if I’m right. I was on the right hand side overlooking the pool. I know what you mean about those “ladies”, all stand around the car park over the road too and where those shops are just past the Oro Negro
I use to work at envy just down road from there I’ve lived in Tenerife years ago I lived by there and los cristianos aswell I love that country be going back this year can’t wait

Lived in paradero 2 for a short time before moving out towards the Football Stadium - but seriously the exact same thing happened to me in the exact same spot in 2008 haha.

Hope you’ve had a Crackin Christmas Kev unfortunately we never managed to fly out Boxing Day both had the dreaded virus. A right blast from the past, used to go in tramps and the soul train in that area 1990, Linekers was just up the street. We rebooked for same time next year, keep up the good work pal 👍

Meat up in Leonardo's for few Smirnoff ices, before moving on to Lineker's in the Starco before visiting a couple of others like O'Neil's and then finishing off in Tramps followed by a handy taxi home (2 euros) back to Los Chris! Those were the days back in 2002!!

Good work Kevin. You're a great advert for Scotland - informative with a bit of humour and banter thrown in. Be good to see visits to other places like Las Galletas or Los Gigantes as part of a video mainly in Las Americas or Los Cristianos. Looking forward to meeting you at some point. Do you not want to just move over to Tenerife instead of commuting every few weeks?

I went into tramps in 98,99 and 2000. All in September/ October time. Ive still got a tape from tramps with all the music on ,tgat eas played back then.
I stayed in playazul great night round there my good freind ibrahima works as the lucky lucky man you walked past just after Irish Oak lol just sent him ur video haha

Stayed in Oro Blanco in 1992 on a 20s holiday. There was a fantastic bar called Flicks Video bar where you said you got “propositioned” on way home. Anyone remember it? 🎉 💃🏼 🍺 ☀️

Me and my daughter stay'd in Oro Negro,its a great location but food is another thing recommend self catering, breakfast at the Restaurant Atlantico was great ( out of main door turn right and right again,follow it down on right hand side ) May next year its off to Los Alisios and see how that play's out

Another good Video Kevin. I always enjoy watching you’re wee walkabouts. I haven’t been over for a few Years now. My past couple of Holidays were in Cancun, Mexico and Negril, Jamaica before the Pandemic kicked in. I always enjoyed Tenerife over Crimbo and New Year with Family. I stay with a friend years ago in either the Oro Negro or the Oro Blanco can’t remember which one off the top of my head. We were okay walking home but I had a few run in’s with aggressive let’s say “ladies of the night” approaching me when I was drunk trying to push me over and grab my wallet near Veronica’s and that road you walked up. Luckily I only ever took enough to do me for a nights drinking so later on at night I’d never have much on me even if they did grab my money. I think someone spiked my drink in one of the Bars along the Veronica’s Strip before too as I hadn’t drank much and got a bit drowsy and drunk quite quickly and my wallet was taken from my pocket. Had no money for a Taxi so had to walk over to the Princessa Dacel Hotel (Now Renamed I think) in Los Cristianos. Longest walk ever when you feel drunk. Luckily there wasn’t much money in my Wallet so was just about €10 Euro or so and my Room Key Card in it. A valuable lesson learned. I prefer up around San Eugenio Area and stayed in Iberostar Bouganville Playa my last few trips. Great Hotel and area. Also stayed once up at Laguna Park 2 when on a Stag Party. and it was a bit rough and ready. Heart attack Hill was a killer when walking back up too Laguna Park 2.. lol ! 🥵🤣

I used to party in the area. I think it was called Starco. Yates, Linkers and the Met bar. Tramps till six in the morning.

I have been in Tramps in 1997 but I seem to remember it being upstairs? Downstairs was a place called "Rags". Also 3am? When I was there most places went to like 6am minimum :O

stayed in the oro negro about 5 years ago like you found it a bit sketchy late at night plenty ladies of the night roaming about i got up early one morning trying to find a newspaper was eve accosted by to ladies at 7am of the morning and got quite nasty when i declined the offer

This is more or less the exact route to my hotel when I went in 2017. Out of the two routes back to the hotel from the main strip at night this route felt the safer one. The other route from the strip was back along close to the sea which was really quiet at night with lots of closed off abandoned spaces from what I can remember. The quiet part was with exception of seeing groups of prostitutes and drug dealers hanging about which of course I got approached constantly.
I walked past the same bit 2 years ago, i was there for 4 days at the sol tenerife and by the end of it i thought my name was Charlie,,😂🤣😎

Me and 2 of my mates stayed at the apartment block just up Orenegro in 2005. On our way back to the apartments after a night on the sauce 4 African prozzys jumped out from the bushes and offered us their services. They were actually trying to pickpocket us......Needless to say we told em jog on.......awesome holiday tho.

Stayed in the original negros years ago , room facing road was quiet, overlooking the football ground over the road enjoyed watching a couple of games with a beer on balcony, wasn't the best hotel to be honest not what it said in the brochure

I red around Veronica's can be a bit dodgy late at night. A guy in a Tenerife Facebook said his son and friends got robbed at knife point I think. So would pay to be sensible and not carry too much cash or valuables.
Hope you had a nice Christmas Kevin, we have never been in that area for a drink , it has plenty of bars , hotel La Siesta food has always been ok when we’ve stayed there ,talking of dodgy people my wife once had her bag snatched off her shoulder near the jersey cow but she only had makeup in it so I hope the lad got some use out of it, and I had someone try to pick my pocket I shouted at him really loud I think I scared him and he ran off, you have to be careful but that could happen anywhere in the world

Back in 2010 i went out with mate and ended up alone rather drunk around that area. 3 women came up to me offering services. My phone was took out my pocket and my gold chain was ripped off my neck... im alot older and wiser now for when I return to playa this Christmas!

I stayed in Oro Blanco a couple of years back , its very dangerous late at night I was mugged and there were five people in the week I stayed mugged there are the African ladies of the night , and Moroccan guys that mug and the police told me that they have knives so be very careful I always stay on the front La Siesta, H10 Palmeras , or Sol Tenerife , or Los Cristianos

You might not wear one at home but I recommend if you walk up the main drag past Veronica's 'Rafael Puig' always have a man bag on to your chest at the front with your belongings in it and never let anyone shake your hand or hug you apart from the covid risk it's a distraction tactic. Also, avoid basically anyone who is trying to be your pal. P.s Gaffers does a good Sunday roast and pre covid used to be bouncing til the wee hours with karaoke! That one you called a nightclub is a lady of the night bar lol. Nearly went in their drunk thinking it's a club. Anywhere called a nightclub abroad I've found is NOT a nightclub 😂😂😂

stayed there Catalonia Oro Negro...not a problem, yes a lot of ladies but they were fine, the worst bit was if you went over the road to look at the golf course you had to watch were you were standing is all I'll say.

Ha ha..... I knew what your 'story' was going to be as soon as you headed up past the Paradisio lol. Any single guy walking up that way is targeted. I stayed at the Oro Negro one year (2017 ?) and actually thought it was an excellent hotel? We had one of the superior rooms on the ground floor at the other side of the pool as you come out from under the reception area, had a large patio with sun loungers and table & chairs rather than a balcony, and the room itself was massive. We only ended up there and in the superior room because we booked late and everywhere was fully booked. Payed TOP DOLLAR for it and whilst it was pretty swanky, we wouldn't do it again unless we had to. I prefer to spend money on the restaurants and stuff rather than the hotel which we hardly spend any time in other than sleeping ?!? All them pubs you mentioned in Veronica's are best avoided as far as I'm concerned Kev, but I know you're showcasing the place to a wide audience and it's only fair you mentioned them, but not for me. Although the place on the right before the pharmacy (can't remember the name) the big long pub? They have some cracking live entertainment on, a scouse drag artist in particular, he's dead funny and rips into the audience, and he's a right good singer. On the original subject of your story....... The girl in the red top sitting on the wall just up from the strip joint in the video, she'd have a suggestion for you if you weren't filming, trust me lol. In October 2021 on the corner (at 4:30 in the video) I was walking alone when I was approached by some Romanian bloke who was trying to sell me tickets to the Music Hall Tavern show. He was pushing that it was a girly show and he pushed up against me. I found out a few minutes later he had stolen my phone from my trouser pocket. Watch out - be on your guard - and don't let anyone get close to you - inc the prostitutes who are in that area. Needless to say I did not get my phone back, and the hassle at the police station trying to report it........!
