Your tone of voice says it all. That’s been a hard shift but look how much you have achieved. I do hope someone takes you up on your generous offer, it’s a lovely place. Well done and thank you.💕😊💕
That is one heck of a lawnmower!!! Endorse that machine! - Seriously thinking you have a death wish. The house and grounds are definitely worth saving but not at the expense of your health. You really push to the limit. I know you’re probably rolling your eyes but heat stroke and heart attack is nothing to mess around with. Very glad you have neighbors to check on you!!! Getting drenched with neighbors garden hose would help keep you cool. - No one is expecting you to share anything you don’t want to. Questions came because you left us with dangling carrots. Like I said before, glad you found happiness now. As you get older you realize the true value of family and love. - You did a significant amount of work on garden! Really can see the difference! It really is a Garden of Eden! Hope you are home safe and sound and enjoyed a hot shower and a soft bed! ( and a cold beer! How can you drink a warm beer? Yuck!) Family must have been thrilled to have you home!!!! Soak in those hugs from your boys while you can! Ps: sorry if I sound bossy but it’s because I care
Oh boy I tune into so much happening. I’ve been really sick with Covid so I haven’t caught up with your videos. After being as sick as I was I’m begging you don’t push yourself to hard it’s not worth it. 💕
@christineharmon6129. I too was getting worried about Ralph's/Raff's/Rolf's (his name is spelt in so many ways, I don't know which one is correct 😂) health. Working very hard in those temperatures isn't a joke - and dare I say it - being overweight makes everything even more tiring. The thing is, he always pushes himself to the limit.
Ralph, I don't know how you find the energy to keep up with all that you already do. Now you have added another project understandably. It's just a shame you don't have any help. Maybe after the utilities are on you can get volunteers in? I know they already camp on peoples property in exchange for work. Not as easy as it sounds I guess but I would do it if I were close.
As a matter of interest surely there are people who would come every couple of months to keep the garden tidy for not too much in the form of payment, you could then come back occasionally to fix it up properly. It is certainly worth the effort
I pay 150 Euros amonth for someone to keep the grounds in good order. It seems to me to be cheap at the price because I used to spend too much time and effort when I was there. I gather there are cheaper workers around, but I am happy not to have so much work to do and the neighbours can't complain now!
It's incredible how in a short time you managed to give the entrance to the house a much better appearance. The place is wonderful, perfect for those looking for peace and a calmer, slower lifestyle. 🥰👏👏
Such a wonderful offer, reduced rent, a place to write that book while playing caretaker, gardener and learn French, my ancestors would be proud. Paternal French and Scottish, unfortunately I'm in NZ wet, windy cold winter, however this grand offer will be added to my bucket list. And yes, just like all your fans, we were also concerned about you where the heck is he? Concerns. May you have an enjoyable, safe journey to Austria.
I agree with you it is a beautiful house well worth restoring to its former glory. Great aerial shots and the roses are well worth saving. Great ideas for future renovations for anyone wanting to stay in the house and take you up on your suggestions. Safe journey home 😊
The house and its surroundings there in France is really quite stunning. Life will bring us moments of sadness, many curves and turns, ups and downs, but as you Brits say, "Onwards and upwards". Thankyou for clearing up a few things Raff, I think the sadness I felt yesterday might have been me imagining how I would feel having to leave such a gorgeous place. ❤
I love this house, I think its much better that the Tuscan home. Privacy and countryside are golden. You have done an outstanding update on this French Property.👏
It’s a dilemma for me. I love Italy, esp Tuscany & Umbria but so many houses I see for sale online in France are so much more beautiful than darker Tuscan rustic ones. Could you tell me the nearest train station to the village where your French house is, please? I’d love to rent it from you but seeing all the hard work you have to do inside and out, it’d be too much for me. Unfortunately!! Good luck with everything and looking forward to the next videos…

Now that I see the drone pic 📸 you have the nicest greenest backyard space. All your neighbors buzzed all their trees 🌳 down 😢💔 . Much easier to cut back what has grown out of control . Than it is to replace 🌳 that were cut down to nothingness 😢
The drone is great to assess the roof problems in the house, now you know which tiles are in need to be replaced. Problem with gardens is it's never "done" as there is something somewhere needing to be done, and proper seasons to do certain stuff. Cutting down this month was a very good move, those will dry and die during summer. In that sense, the project of the other house is better to manage from a distance, cause there are no gardens to take care. Working alone, with a couple huge projects, plus a full time job and family, maybe you will stretch too thin and get frustrated because things will take forever to get done. If it was me, i would get one house professionally fixed up and rented out, so I could focus on the other, whichever sparks more joy. Life is to short to take too many jobs and forget to smell the flowers. Take care, keep those videos coming and we keep clicking "like"

You are one tough dude! Perhaps a string or blade trimmer to save your back. Bending over with that hedge trimmer looks excruciating. Impressive, but ouch!
You do impose a lot of work on yourself. You are such a hard worker. If I owned this house in France that has been so neglected, I would clean the garden, get the interiors totally cleaned out, sell it as is, and put proceeds into the Tuscany house. The Tuscany house makes more sense because of its proximity to Austria and where you will probably spend more time on holidays. Where I live, you would have been fined for the neglect of the garden. Where I live they fine you for putting your trash out the day before it's scheduled to be picked up. If you've been away for 8 years, I think that says you don't need this property. I wish you luck whatever you decide and I will continue to follow you. Jane, Philadelphia
No need to go too much into details Ralf ,an sure we have all broken up and had to move on at least once in our lives and besides it’s private to you and your ex. In answer to the question in the title of this video … YES YES YES. Your house is stunning and I’m actually envious of how easily things grow there. My veg patch could do with some of that! Well done, you worked your socks off and it was certainly worth all the effort.
What a Beautiful Property! Well Done! Do take care of you though. If my circumstances were different I’d rent your beautiful home from you and have a great time bringing the Gardens back. Thank you for sharing your memories with us.
As a fellow Brit (English man 😉) I subscribed immediately on watching your first video and have been enjoying your videos in Italy ever since. You constantly amaze me at your incredible energy and your ability to figure out and solve problems and challenges. I am loving your new adventures in France and hope you can find someone to help you with this new project. I know that you have inspired so many of us CZcamsrs to challenge ourselves and embark on new adventures. Wow the garden looks huge now that you have cleared some of it out. On your chainsaw check the exhaust pipe for a cleanable filter, mine had the same symptoms and it turned out to be carbon build up.

Oh what a great property and I'd love to be there cleaning up the house and setting it up for living...I could volunteer if I was younger but sadly at 75 I wouldn't be much use with the heavy outside logging. I'll be watching for your future progress. Blessings to you.
HI, I'm the Britrish guy who spotted you and had a chat whilst you were having a quick stop on one of your many tip runs in June '22 . So glad you are "back in the saddle" so to speak. We have been on a potential buying trip with a specific property in mind since then, but some Italian estate agents don't tell the whole truth. Who'd a thunk it. Still looking however, with a budget increase to avoid hassle, supposedly. There's a fellow youtuber doing something very similar to you " three acres of marche" no doubt you follow his channel, but I think a collaboration/ chat between the two of you would be brilliant as you both have so much knowledge and information to impart. I'd even buy the Perlenbacher, but just make sure its cold.
You needed a month rather than a few days, and feeling less rushed. I can see your summer holidays spent here , with more help. Good neighbors at least they can keep an eye out, especially for security.
What a lovely home. Please get some help clearing the garden. Then rent it out for income. A shame to let it to go to pot. You did a huge job in this video. Made such a difference. Now 🤞🏻 you get someone to help. We all know your heart is in Italy!
I wish I could!! But too many commitments here in Australia. We spend 9-10 weeks a year in the Dordogne and just love it. Someone will jump at the chance I’m sure. Safe travels home and stop for naps when u need one. The odd 10mins can give you heaps more alertness.
I'm just thinking. If you would cut this stuff on the ground and leave it in situ for the summer to dry off, you could way more easily remove it in fall,. Most of the weight you are dragging around is water bound in branches. This could evaporate before you have to carry it. Since time is not a factor here, use it in your advantage. ;)
So happy you're back I've missed these videos. That house looks like it's got amazing potential for someone to make it into an amazing home. Can't wait for the next one.
Bravo! You did an amazing job in such a short amount of time. I would absolutely be interested in renting the home and working on it as I lived there but unfortunately it's the wrong time for me. Maybe in 9 or 10 years I'll be buying something in France, coming from California. I just have too many responsibilities at the moment but that's my future goal. I'm sure you'll find some lovely people to rent your beautiful home. How cool that your viewers recognized their village and were only a few doors down.
We have watched your channel from the start and really enjoy the videos, your a normal person and have a very busy life not sure how you fit everything in but we your viewers are loyal and it’s great to see you make progress big thanks
The vine will dry out if all cut at bottom then just brush off when you want to. I've watched you for the full 2 years and your capacity for making change Is truly praiseworthy ( always think of your music when i'm DIYing). Such a beautiful place and garden- you'll have a queue of applicants- you could run a CZcamsrs time share!
I would get a tree surgeon in to check the big tree by the house properly it may need to come out completely. Great to see you back, wow that’s some reason to be back! Hard work and clearly emotional going.
Thank you for the aerial shots of your lovely home in France. Hope your plans all work out. You are an incredibly hard worker. “Not Useless Yet” indeed!
Major work in the heat of the day. Surely someone watching would love to rent & maintain the garden🤞. Your sadness coming through. 🙏 wish you leave it behind & feel the good you deserve now x
Well done, Raff! You tackled all that with determination and got so far! It must be a relief to know that the house is still in good shape and that it won't take much to get it finished and back to its former glory. Happy drive home. Greeting from the Auvergne.
Tempting offer, it’s a beautiful house. Huge lot. I love all the trees. You might want to relocate some of the saplings if they aren’t an invasive bread that is. Love the stone work. Such a beauty. You did an amazing job! 👏 Thank you so much for bringing us along on this journey. Safe travels home.
Where your house is, it is a forest. Isn't it incredible how the earth claims it all back? Another huge work day. Looks so much better. What are your plans for the place? Has it been settled and decided? Will you be moving back into it.
What an incredible transformation in such a short time! Laurels can get amazingly big, my ex had a huge laurel tree in her back garden in Reading. The smell of the flowers was absolutely amazing!
A fantastic few days work with a lot achieved. The garden is huge, it definitely needs regular work but a deal of tidying up has been done in a relatively short time. Well done😊
Wow! You continue to amaze me with your hard work! The place looks great after all your work. What kind of trees are those in the field behind your house? What a nice surprise to have neighbors who brought over food. I'm sure you'll get someone to rent the place; it's lovely and quiet. Thank YOU for sharing your life (and details to keep the nosy people happy). We care about you and want to know more about you but only if you are willing to share, so what you said is enough. Take care of yourself and take some time out for yourself and your family; remember they miss you and love you! 💓
Hi Raf, I did not comment on the first two videos, as I watched all of them back to back. You always amaze me with your work ethic and willingness to take on a challenge. What a beautiful house, I love the green wall and fabulous garden. It is easy to see the love that you put into that home when you lived there. The same love you are putting into your place in Tuscany and into your family today. I wouldn't be surprised if a neighbour asks for the oak trees you cut down, the wood would be fantastic for a wood burning oven. Where I live most the native trees are firs and cedars and the burn too quickly. If there was anyway I could take a year off my job, I would love to spend the summer, clearing the yard and creating a home there. I am sure other viewers will be queuing up for the opportunity. Your private life is just that, private.
I have enjoyed your return to us. I hope to see you more often. Now a house in Italy and one in France. A dream for many of us, but I do not have your stamina.
It's so nice to have you back. Watched all 3 esposides. Such a lovely hse with lots of potential. I hope you are luckly in finding someone nice to rent it! And look after it for you. Take care, see you soon..
Gorgeous property with a great garden, even in its overgrown state!. Must say I prefer this property to your one in Italy, mostly because of the spacious garden with its many trees. Stunning!!
Great job getting garden tidied up in such a short time. I hope you find someone to work with. Australia is too far for me and my garden is plenty of work
Looking forward to see you come back on the next trip, and hopefully water and electricity turned on too, to make it a bit more habitable there. Have a good week, hope you get to relax and heal your muscles this week after a super strenuous weekend. All the best, M.
Such a stunning property, a dream! I wish we could help with the garden unfortunately we both work. I hope you will find people who are able to look after the property.
You have gotten a lot done in the time you were there. Such a beautiful house looking forwards to seeing what happens next. Also looking forwards to seeing the continuation of your house renovation. Ive watched all of your videos and look forwards to watching more take care xx
Wow, that’s is a weekend worthy of a medal! I live in New Zealand so a bit too far away to take up your offer to be a live-in fixer sadly. I would absolutely love to see the future progress on your beautiful house so hopefully that happens😊 Great job!🤗

Not too shabby !.....your channel just popped up ??......love it ..
A big transformation in a short amount of time
Great job
Oh my, what a beautiful plot of land!
What a beautiful property. You’ve made excellent progress. Have a safe trip back to Austria.👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
A very lovely home and garden.😊😊
Well done! Love the house…
Yes I agree your life your business.
What a beautiful home you have!
Loved this series of videos. You worked so hard and made such great progress!
Love your humor…” the mower’s on strike” 😂 We are truly rooting for you on every project you tackle. Keep up the good work!
Great to see you again with these 3 videos. You are such a hard worker! Hopefully you will be able to relax a bit when you get home. Love from Maine ❤
Well done on the work, looking forward to any future plans with the place in France
Safe travel Raff. Thanks for another glimpse.
Good job! Looking well cosy there right now. Beautiful place, beautiful part of France.
It's a beautiful house and you've made a huge impact on the jungle....it's damn hard work in that heat. Safe travels home...
Major work in the heat of the day. Surely someone watching would love to rent & maintain the garden🤞. Your sadness coming through. 🙏 wish you leave it behind & feel the good you deserve now x
Wow you and the little lawn mower have done an epic job , hope you had a safe trip home.
You have done really well, have a safe journey home. Take care. Xx
Well done, Raff! You tackled all that with determination and got so far! It must be a relief to know that the house is still in good shape and that it won't take much to get it finished and back to its former glory. Happy drive home. Greeting from the Auvergne.
Beautiful house and amazing garden well done for all your hard work what a long drive too can’t wait for the next update
What a lovely house. Your hard work really made a difference 😊
My goodness you have put in some hard graft over the past few days, well done what a difference 😊
Glad to see you! I too was wondering where you were :) Beautiful house, and very good work! I am sure your family will be glad to have you home
You've done a great job, gardening is hard work. I can tell you love this house from how you talk about it.
Great job and hard work. It’s a lovely property. take care x
Congratulations for your persistent work! You are very brave.
Where your house is, it is a forest. Isn't it incredible how the earth claims it all back? Another huge work day. Looks so much better. What are your plans for the place? Has it been settled and decided? Will you be moving back into it.
Good job on the garden, that will certainly save the house……😮
What an incredible transformation in such a short time!
Laurels can get amazingly big, my ex had a huge laurel tree in her back garden in Reading. The smell of the flowers was absolutely amazing!
A fantastic few days work with a lot achieved. The garden is huge, it definitely needs regular work but a deal of tidying up has been done in a relatively short time. Well done😊
The house is beautiful. I sense you really love it. Praying that help will come your way. Take care, cheers from Oz. xxx
Well worth the trip !
I have enjoyed your return to us. I hope to see you more often. Now a house in Italy and one in France. A dream for many of us, but I do not have your stamina.
Have a safe journey home. The kids love the garden. Ye will be back
It's so nice to have you back.
Australia is too far for me and my garden is plenty of work
This must have been a hard trip ! But a good job well done.
Wishing you a safe journey, take care
Lovley house , great progresss , u must have been shattered ,well done ,cant wait for more videos of clearing up ,
Looking forward to see you come back on the next trip, and hopefully water and electricity turned on too, to make it a bit more habitable there.
Have a good week, hope you get to relax and heal your muscles this week after a super strenuous weekend. All the best, M.
Such a stunning property, a dream! I wish we could help with the garden unfortunately we both work. I hope you will find people who are able to look after the property.
Well done, enjoyed the series, what a wonderful opportunity, wish I had the nerve to do it, thanks
You have gotten a lot done in the time you were there. Such a beautiful house looking forwards to seeing what happens next.
Also looking forwards to seeing the continuation of your house renovation. Ive watched all of your videos and look forwards to watching more take care xx
Lovely house. Good job!
Wow, that’s is a weekend worthy of a medal! I live in New Zealand so a bit too far away to take up your offer to be a live-in fixer sadly. I would absolutely love to see the future progress on your beautiful house so hopefully that happens😊 Great job!🤗
