Hi Stokze , best tip for removing paint on the glass is to use a soft cloth and paint thinners . The paint thinners wont harm the metal element on the back glass mate!

Paint thinners will get it off the glass bud. Will still have to scrape it, but the thinners will soften the paint.

I never understand why people don't subscribe but I have from when I started watching the channel I've got a good wet vac for carpets and cars you can use I use the proper tools to take plastic trims out like I said if you need a bit of welding I can help you out I've got a welder myself and over 25 years experience the old girl needs a bit of cleaning up I'm sure you get the parts you know where plenty are sat rotting mate 👍

maybe time to pay a revisit to that huge landrover discovery breeakers place for the missing trim pieces although might be hard sourcing it in the correct colour. Nice job on the detail so far though

Stu for a 1991 Disco that ain't in bad condition at all . Also didn't realise it was a two door a very rare car indeed . I reckon the paint would come good with a good mop session . That car needs saving big time my friend . Also i just did a quick check , & it says that there are only two land rover discovery 1991 on the road in UK , &23 sorn . Avery rare car indeed
The centre cubby bag is original to your car there were cubby boxes too as an option

Original discos are starting to make good money now and will only increase. Many were broken for the engine as many 200tdis found themselves in series land rovers of 90/110.
Looking alot better after all that work stuff I bet you was getting fed up with them windows but worth it stu 👍

Have you tried getting the actual paint, it might tell you on the door jambs what colour it is, I think it might be Portofino Red.

Scraping all that crap off the glass you should spray it with glass cleaner first as it will act as a lubricant and avoid scratching the glass

Try some paint remover on the rear window before you decide to change it out..
