Hey Luis, I know I'm the odd man out here, but I really love the non-cube drafts!
LSV tossing up hard casting necropanther despite playing no white sources in his deck 😂
I enjoy the occasional different format things. Winston Wednesdays is a great addition, and if there's Throwback Thursday or Flashback Friday as well that seems like a great thing as well.
always here for a cube but would love more ikoria while it's around!
Death Corona is still probably the funniest thing that happened during the early stages of the pandemic
"I... don't wanna read all that." Unpredictable Cyclone + Ultimatums was my favorite deck to draft in this format. A bunch of rares nobody else wanted. ❤
13 cards left in deck 3 are land Drew every single land and then two far finders
Wow just wow
Lands. Sometimes. Violate.
i love all the cube, but i enjoy the variety of one or two drafts a week that are not vintage cube. this was really fun to watch!
Love the non-cube limited stuff, would love to see more!
mutate actually plays great in paper, I got a couple of prerelease kits and played a bunch with my wife when the set came out. mutate basically just plays like an alternate version of bestow in 90% of cases except in constructed formats where you can deliberately invoke the weird corner cases. in paper limited, keyword counters are actually the significantly more difficult mechanic to represent on the board
Love the Ikoria draft, definitely down for more!
Forcing cycling was definitely open in this pod. Even without committing to the bit, LSV saw three snare tacticians, a flourishing fox and two Dranith stingers. It was almost always forceable until late in the format and had a couple of good audibles.
I loved the late stages of this format; cycling deck was still fun, companion decks were fun, and niche strategies with the vigilance deck and Regal Leosaur opened up.
Love seeing non cube drafts mixed in
I played a draft of Ikoria a couple days ago, and got all the cycling payoff cards with 18 cycling cards overall, including 15 1-mana cyclers. Ahhh, the memories...😂
loved this draft! Flashback drafts are always entertaining no matter the set. Cool to see your insight on the format and how the cards have aged.
I really do love really ikoria. If they had depowered some of the cycling payoffs it would for sure be one of the GOATs! Hope to see more of it the week
I like seeing a small breaks from Cube, though those are still my favorite. Loved watching you do the Khans flashback, wish we got more!
Also do you have in any interesting in drafting other cubes such as legacy cubes or cubes more built around specifics archetypes? That is something I'd be interested in, but doesn't have the same draw as jamming all the most powerful cards. Could help with variety too! Thanks a ton for daily uploads, love winding down in the night watching you, you do such a good job on commentary!
More Ikoria or OTJ would be great!
Loved seeing the flashback draft, thank you!
Absolutely love Ikoria and LSV. This vid was legendary
I don't expect it to be a regular feature of the channel but I would love to see the occassional Pauper video.
one of my favorite formats of all time! so many different decks u could go for tahnks to companions
I prefer a mix of draft formats over just vintage cube. So another flashback draft here and there or maybe a pauper, or coreset cube draft would be a very fun change of scenary.
LSV first tks for all the content it is always amazing. I'm try to get a better grip on the cube draft, so i wold like to leave here as a suggest a video about the cube, how the cube is built, witch are the main kind of decks that we should be think while drafting, any think that would help us to understand the format better.
im looking forward to seeing you playing an arena open or something with high stakes !
26:06 lol "fumesed"
u can draft as many ikoria drafts as u like i love this format. might even instal arena again for this even
great draft, love seeing something other than cube. Cake is great but I don't want to eat it every day.
Wow LSV! You are an excellent land drawer
Love to see more ikoria!
Id be scared to put eight mana spells in my limited deck, but the way you draw all your lands guarantees you can always cast it!
It would be interesting to see you draft different types of cubes once a week or so
LSV for president
Your eloquent and exhaustive argument has persuaded me. LSV has my vote.
He is probably better then both candidates but that is a low bar
The game you win by decking the enemy its just epic
Migratory Greathorn also does some deck thinning
I've got 1 in 1716 to hit the final three lands in a row starting with 13 cards in the deck
I loved this format
Loving Ikoria. Definitely an all-timer for me, though I know that's mildly controversial. The only real mark against it is that companion is less fun now than it was at launch, and that cycling is a bit too strong, but honestly, I don't see it enough for it to ruin the set for me. Lots of fun
*vomits in mouth, swallows it*
"yeah this card is pretty good"
47:00 you should have just gotten back honey mammoth, which is better than panther + 2/1 anyway
Do all cat people look the same to you?!?!
(That's not Ajani; it's Sovereign Okinec Ahau from LCI.)
That's a strange way to spell Ajani.
Also more modern content plz! Or legacy
I've never been more tilted for someone else than drawing each of the 3 remaining lands in your deck (0.3% chance - even lower if you consider that drawing the Wilds before the last basic would have spared you from this) and THEN 1/1 that draws a land into 1/1 that draws a land. Your opponent should be utterly ashamed by both the good game and losing to that chain of events.
When wondering about if it was a 7-0 deck, I think you forgot your best card - whatever card made your opponents keep passing with 5-10 mana and like 3-6 cards in hand.
Luis Scott-Vargas, ladies and gentlemen. Best player in the history of MtG at drawing lands.
Strange cube gameplay 🤔
arena below mythic is a punt fest
Never liked ikoria in paper cause mutate is so fiddly
