President Biden, answering the question of why the U.S. forces are not on the ground, explained that the U.S. decision not to deploy U.S forces is due to concerns about potential misrepresentation of their real intentions in Haïti by people who disagree with the United States. Instead, the U.S. will provide logistical, intelligence, and equipment support. Biden expressed gratitude for Kenya's leadership, noting that Kenya, along with other nations, will lead the mission. Although the U.S. forces will not be on the ground, they supply logistics, intelligence, and equipment to aid Haiti's mission through supportive partnerships rather than direct military involvement.
