Probably the most best performances I've personally seen from any fighter let alone at Super Middleweight from one great fighter displaying his skills on another great fighter. Ward absolutely whitewashes Carl Froch in even Froch's, the inside one, slipping & ducking punches, great inside work & very clean shots. A surprisingly beautiful display by SOG & a great friend of mind's favorite fight at the weight of 168, @b0xingfan_ .

Well ward wasnt headbutting him like he did against Mikkel Kesler.I thought George Groves looked better in the first fight against Froch until numpty ref took the fight away from him.But Froch skills never matched his power,his chin and his courage.

Andre Wards defence is impeccable.. if his hands aren't blocking the shot he's ducking out the way and relying on his reflexes.
His defence is exceptionally underrated. His style was considered ugly because of it. Great boxer, all time great.
As good as Froch was, Ward was obviously in another class altogether....
Froch got schooled in that fight . Ward was a different level.
I like froch but it still makes me laugh when I see him lift his arm up just before the decision. Deluded, faint hope, no chance.😂

It's heart that got Froch through that, Ward was simply the better boxer of the two, Froch has the talent, but he just wasn't on the same level that night.
What amazes me is the fact Ward literally had no right hand becuase he had serious shoulder issues. When you watch back his fights and highlights it's so noticeable yet he was able to outbox his opponents pretty much with his jab, left hook and body shots

Andre Ward so strong on the inside from being a high school wrestling champ and great boxing pedigree as olypmic gold medalist and hands fast as lightning..great all round boxer...Froch was also a great champion in his time..two greats here and Ward the better of the two.
The 115-113 scorecards were clearly fixed because they knew Ward was gonna win so they made sure it looked somewhat close when in reality all should have been 118-110. Absolute masterclass of boxing by Ward! Even stood in front of Froch and exchanged with him on outside and inside as well. Literally beat Froch at his own most powerful game!!
Froch is tough, but he's not eactly hard to hit....
That one ref got it right 118-110
116-112 is the most generous you can give for Froch in defeat.

I feel if ward didn’t smother a lot of his power shots and worked on landing at ideal distance he would have had more kos. But again he is an undefeated hof fighter so I’m sure there were reasons or occasions where for what ever reason that didn’t work with his style. These dudes go thru trial and error and figure out what works for them .

ward was just special...a fast technical boxer who could fight inside and bully you (what?), insane fight iq...only thing he lacked was power really...one of my all time favourites

This is all the evidence I need that Joe Calzaghe would have beaten Froch. The way Froch comes forward with them looping telegraphed punches would have been easy for Calzaghe to avoid and counter plus Calzaghe throws a lot of punches and would outwork a tired predictable Froch. Ward was a smart boxer, but it wasn’t pretty. I guess his smartest asset was to destroy the opponents offence and then immediately land on the inside and then get away... But incredibly boring to watch if you ask me. Kessler got the same treatment, but also with the extra finesse of head butting.
