  • How To Remove Honda Element Rear Door Panel
    In this video I show you guys how to remove the rear door panel of a Honda Element.
    I made this video as a follow up to my How to Remove a Honda Element Door Panel video: bit.ly/2xUJg3i
    A few people asked me to make a rear door panel removal video who found the first video helpful so I finally got around to making this video to help everyone remove their rear door panel.
    If you have any other videos or guides you want to see please tell me in the comments below! I'm always looking for ways to help people work on their own cars.

    Thank you so much for this video. I had been looking for one like this for ages. My upper door release cable has been sticking whenever it gets cold in Seattle so the rear door doesn't fully latch and the open door warning light just goes on and off. With your video I was able to get the cable out and flushed a bunch of gunk out of the cable sheath. Forced some cable lube in and now the door works perfectly.

    Thanks for the video! Found plenty of write-ups on how to take the front door panel off but not the suicide door. Someone dropped a *pencil* in my E that came to a rest behind the striker. Closed the door on it and the lock came loose inside the door :/ hope it isn't completely broken.

    Once the door panel is off, can you remove the arm rest? If so, how hard is it to do and how? Great videos. Thanks Jim

      Had this same exact problem, my latch was loose as all of the screws had just fallen out over the years (dealership neglected to tell me this), and wanted to charge me $300+ to "fix" it. So I took the door apart as you demonstrated, moved the latch back in position and used new screws I bought at Home Depot for $2. The other door happened to have ONE screw remaining on the bottom (which was all I needed to find replacement screws) so I have replaced all the screws and now my keyless entry works again. Thanks so much for putting this up!!!

    Do you happen to know how to get into the seat-belt retractor? My 2008 Element has the retractors in the back of the seat rather than the door, and they are starting to not retract the seat-belts reliably. Any help would be appreciated.

      I don’t. I’m sorry. I’ve only dealt with ones mounted to the door. :(

    Quick question - could you show how to remove the upper portion covering the lock actuator? I have to replace it and am not having a lot of luck finding quality instructions on doing so for an Element.

    • @GuntherSnaps
      @GuntherSnaps  Před 6 lety

      so you are looking for a video taking the upper plastics off? the tan piece above the door?

    • @Hypocrite-ical
      @Hypocrite-ical Před 6 lety +1

      I'm trying to find a video showing how to remove the piece above the one removed in this video - the piece that the seat belt is anchored into next to the window.
      Also, I forgot to mention - this was a really good video.
