- Update: TKA Theatre Co. received a 2016 American High School Theatre Festival award for outstanding musical theater for "Jekyll & Hyde" and has been invited to produce "Les Miserables" in London's West End and Scotland during the 2017 Fringe Festival!
The King's Academy, a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence, recently presented the Broadway musical "Jekyll & Hyde" on its main stage. Starring TKA seniors Gregorio Umana, Noelle Leinwol, and Brittany Wallace, this performance showcased young talent that will be seen on the professional stage for years to come.
TKA has an award-winning fine arts program led by Mr. David Snyder (Artistic Director, Musical Theater), Mrs. Sonia Santiago (Vocal Arts), Mrs. Cathy Higgins (Dance- Ballet and Jazz), Mrs. Jacquie Lopez (Dance- Tap, Modern and Jazz), Mrs. Alexa Tiller (Dance- Ballet, Hip Hop and Modern), Mr. Brad Majzner (Stagecraft); and fine arts conservatory led by Mr. Eric Dunn (Band Director and Department Chair), Mr. Will Smith (Assistant Band Director), Dr. Patrick Clifford (Strings), Mr. Cameron Smith (Digital Arts), Mr. Andy Camizzi (Art), Miss Mikah Adams (Popular Music), Mr. Gene George (Elementary Band) and Mrs. Robin Phillips (Elementary Choir). Frxey I mean... honestly? The broadway version of Jekyll and Hyde wasn’t very good in my opinion. The concept album was so much better, and then this performance is absolutely amazing

I accidentally clicked something by accident on my phone while plugging in my earbuds. My reaction was more that I had made a small mistake until I realized what I had clicked. Then it was more "oh hell yes."
Anthony Warlow-phenomenal actor! Amazing voice, enchanting voice alterations, and has a way of drawing in the audience. But this young man in this video...he brought pain to life! I liked how shaky and scared he sounded in his breathing and singing. He made me understand how taxing the experiment was in his body and for his emotional state. Praise for this young man!!
I'm nearly three years late but this was amazing! This is the best performance of this scene I've ever seen. If this man doesn't land a part in a big-time musical it will be a shame! He has such control over his voice and it's amazing!
Here's a question: do Jekyll and Hyde have the same fingerprints, blood type and stuff? I know they're basically different aspects of the same person, but still.
@Mayo Lane Actually, that depends on which version of Jekyll and Hyde you're going with. Book version, wrong, Hyde is a different age height and weight in the book. Musical version, correct.

In the book version he’s entirely the same person when he switches, but the body is what changes. Despite being the pillar or the community Jekyll struggled all his life with certain urges so he created a formula to alter his body so he could indulge in them. If you want to know more, may I suggest Overly Sarcastic Productions’ video on the book? In general I suggest their channel, they teach you things like literature, history, and myths in an entertaining way.

I’m blown away from this. This is exactly how I’d imagine it, even if the actor is younger, that just adds to the performance! It actually makes sense, with how much curiosity and charity he had perceived!
And the way he was singing while acting out being taken controlled was phenomenal.

So you did the same thing as I did. and I don't see how me liking gacha has anything to do with it? Do you just not know how to insult me so you mention a common interest people have???? Gacha is a common community, and people should have the right to be in it as long as they dont make inopriate/offensive Content. Of course it wasn’t real that’s incredibly dangerous to just shove needles into you
rachel squire stage needle - it disappears like a graphite mechanical pencil and the "red liquid" is just for show.

It's a kind of tool that the needle retracts into the handle, like fake swords do. It's a fantastic theatre trick and tool many people like to use. :D
