- Americans are being warned not to travel to several states in Mexico because of the increased risk of crime and kidnapping. Sandra Mitchell reports for the KTLA 5 News at 5 on Aug. 19, 2022.

Well, duh. I have been terrified of traveling to Mexico for decades. I skipped a cousin’s wedding because she insisted on holding it in Mexico. I am not willing to risk my life or basic safety to spend time in the heat. I live in texas. It is always hot. Heat is not a vacation.

Mexico is a pretty big country. Just like in the USA, certain regions have problems. Take a look at all the homeless encampments and open drug consumption sites in the US. Who wants to visit that? No worries about your kids getting killed while attending school in Mexico. It's great that ALOT of gringos don't want to come because we have enough here already. Vacation in Portland or Philly instead 🤣🤣🤣 personally, I feel safer living in Mexico than I ever did in the US.

Kidnappings have been going on for years, and its only getting worse... I personally know of two ppl who were kidnapped one was killed the other was released and he was from there (but lived in the USA) he was abt 70 when they kidnapped him, and beat the heck outta him, he ended up with brain surgery (that's how bad they beat him) the only reason he was released was b/c the family knew ppl who knew ppl and got him home abt 5mo after he was kidnapped... otherwise he would have been killed, they beat him before releasing him.. (I think the family also had to pay money too) it's not something new and if you look it up, you might wonder why there hasn't been warnings before..
Here in the USA usually they kidnapped you for your organs.that’s why there’s no ransom.

I just got back from Michoacán and Jalisco. No problem at all!! Just use common sense and know your surroundings! But nobody was out late at night. But hey!!! There’s areas here in the USA that’s not safe!
Just got back from there too, and nothing happened. But just because nothing happened doesn’t mean those two states aren’t dangerous. I’m from Uruapan, Michoacán and I was on edge the whole time I was there. When the locals tell you things are bad, you believe them.
