I feel bad for passengers in an airplane or anybody on a motorcycle when there is an accident, but we gotta live life, take precautions & not be ruled by fear.
Plus, the way the bike is loaded up on the sides, it's likely to slide on its side where the dog is strapped in, legs tucked, on a padded quilt & may be safer than if in a car without a seatbelt during a crash.
@@kwhatten The dog is strapped in to a padded cage. Chances are if the bike falls over the dogs head will be protected by that. The woman would fare considerably less well even with her helmet I fear.

There's a reason there aren't seat belts on bikes. Because it's better to fall off in a crash than to be tied to the bike.
