All of St-Olaf is mourning tonight. I'm sure Bea, Estelle and Rue are welcoming her with open arms. You'll be missed Betty 😔
I bought cheesecake tonight
@@joodeejoodee so did i.
:'(
And Estelle, too! Don't forget her!
@@AdultThirdCultureKid1971 Who could forget Sofia?
There will never be another show like the Golden Girls. A true classic.
I still swear that 1/2 of these she made up on the spot....you can write this stuff lol
Agree. This show is absolutely timeless. My mom, grandma, and I have been watching this show since I was an itty bitty. And now my daughter is added to the generational mix. 💛
Never ever
that's right Steve
I like the black golden girls better.
Just wanted to hear a St. Olaf story after hearing of her passing. RIP Betty. You brought us years of happiness.
Decades, at least in my case.

Dorothy reluctantly telling a St Olaf story in S5 is to this day the most amazing redemption for a running gag
YESSSSS!!!!! Full Circle Moment!!! The Writers were amazing!
It is, but she was desperate 😂
Blache, Dorothy and Sofia's reactions when she's telling these stories are hilarious.
I love when one the stories the pan to Sophia and she’s sleep! Lol
Yes,Yes.
Dorothy always giving Rose these stunned/incredulous glances before saying something snide! Good times…
Blanche makes the best faces whenever these stories start flying
Sophia: "Boy, nothing gets by you people." 🤣
She was so proud of her dad in that mayonnaise jar LOL
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
🤣🤣🤣
What about the Herring circus?
@@leociresi4292 One of the funniest moments on the show. Hands down🤣🤣🤣🤣
A mayonnaise jar pulling a fish up the street; sounds likes a St. Olaf commercial 🤔
True fans... let's gather here to honor the last Golden Girl. May she fly high
I miss them all 😭 Just imagine all the laughter in heaven though…
@@frankboff1260 Me too. I can't believe that they're all gone, and I'm not ashamed to admit that that fact hurts a lot. RIP Estelle Getty (July 25, 1923 - July 22, 2008), Bea Arthur (May 13, 1922 - April 25, 2009), Rue McClanahan (February 21, 1934 - June 3, 2010), and Betty White (January 17, 1922 - December 31, 2021). Thanks for posting all the dates of their lives on earth. All angels now. Have a laugh in their honour 🥰🙏🦌🕊️🗡️🎈👍

I truly believe that ONLY Betty could have told those stories in such a way to get the reactions from us all. Thanks for all of the laughs and great memories Betty:-)

I love that Dorothy and Blanche are trying to hold in there laughter lol.
There was one where both Blanche and Dorothy hid there faces from the camera so they wouldn't be caught laughing especially Blanche reaction when Rose was telling a St. Olaf story about a wife who accidently ran over her husband killing him. The wife was not aware of what she done until she discovered bits and pieces of her husband. Blanche and Dorothy's reaction to Rose story had me in stitches. 😂😂😂
How did Betty deliver these lines without breaking character laughing? Truly talented!
Truly! If you watch her on the old school black & white What’s My Line episodes, she’s got the same sharp wit.
RIP
Betty White
(January 17th,1922-
December 31st,2021)
Thank you for being a friend.
I’m convinced Rose is behind the naming of Ikea items 🤣 RIP Betty ♥️
I loved her show Off Their Rockers.
I want to thank whoever took the time to collect these legendary stories 🤣🤣 👏🏽 👏🏽
I read that Betty herself would make these up. Something along the lines of her improvising some as well
So do I! Back in the 80ies and 90ies I grew up in a really safe and secure bubble and the girls belonged to it! How I'd love to go back in time to be about 8 yo again, watching the Golden Girls till my stomach hurts from laughing.... Many thanks from Austria 🇦🇹
I have the complete seven seasons of this show in my hard drive, but still I watch it on youtube😆😆
Amen 🌹
Amen. 😂😂😭😘
😂 “Bitter butter memories.”
The world lost such a gem. Rest well Betty.
Betty White sure brought life to the St Olaf stories. One of the best parts of the show. Love it especially when the other girls are annoyed but asked her to finish the story 😂😂
Her stories were like a train wreck. They were horrible, but you just had to see them, or rather hear them, to the end.
Yes, between that and Sophia's cut downs it was the best part of the show.
@@rimshot2270 🤣🤣🤣🤣 right!
@@rimshot2270I never understood how these stories were considered boring. Rose painted a picture with her storytelling.
*Dorothy begins to take a bite of cheesecake
Rose: "Once upon a time in the magical land of Ferfluvenhaven . . ."
*Dorothy irritably puts her fork down and facepalms
The singles greatest moment of any of the stories. That 30 second moment with Rue's glance says everything.
The girls reactions to Rose's stories are funnier than Rose's stories!😅
Which is saying something
This video is nearly 40 mins....that's almost 2 full episodes without commercials. I didn't realize how much time I spent listening to stories about St.Olaf, not sorry that I did
Rose always managed to actually get them intrigued in her stories cause they actually started out good then they would always go haywire.
Nothing better to cheer you up than a long tedious St.Olaf story
I don't know who the writer for these St. Olaf stories were, but they should have gotten an Emmy. Betty White's delivery is legendary!
I honestly don't know how they could all keep a straight face 😂
I bet that Bea, Rue, Estelle and Betty are making everyone laugh after they all gave her a huge hug
They're all indulging in a cheesecake 🙂
I do not know how rue, bea, and Estelle could hold it together listening to any of these stories. God these ladies must be in the vip section
“Our marriage license and our permit to have kids….”
That made me guffaw.
@@Marchant2 do places really have that? Or had that?
Too bad permits to have kids is not a real thing.
Though they may be greatly annoyed, I love how Dorothy actually used one of Rose's St. Olaf stories to try and get through Mary's father in the episode "Mary Had a Little Lamb". Her shame when the others found out about it though was hilarious. 😂
I miss them soooo very much &hope they come back on Hallmark channel soon after cmas
Yeah that was funny… she said, “ I was desperate!!” Lol
It’s like when they all slagged off her food but Sofia really loved it: chickbeef in the bag, cheese balls, Magdas cake, spare hooven krispies, windmill crackers
So funny, and she was actually worried about getting the names right 😂😂
What season is the "Mary had a Little Lamb" episode?
I refuse to believe that EVERY St Olaf story only adds to 37 minutes!
Well they certainly missed the one about the herring wars.
@@JJMMWGDuPree So they did!Rude!
@@JJMMWGDuPree that was the best one, in my own opinion 😌💙

"I don't know why I raised my hand." The best delivery of comedy line ever.
You can tell that there are times when Rue McClanahan and Bea Arthur are trying not to laugh in the middle of the story.
It’s there reaction to when Rose begins telling her stories that really make me laugh 😂😂
Bitter butter memories. Lol.
Hysterical!
Is it just me, or are Bea and Rue trying their hardest not to laugh during the mayonnaise jar story?
Yes, this is the legendary scene when they came damn close to breaking character but the director decided not to reshoot and just put the whole thing into the episode.
RIP Queen. Thank you for decades of laughter. All of humanity will miss you.
I lived in Omaha for 5 years. They really captured midwestern culture with Rose's characters. They really are that naive and child-like.
Betty’s timing and delivery is what made her a comedic LEGEND!
RIP Queen. The world is less without you.
"It's an adult version of Hide n' Go Seek!"
"And how does it differ from the children's version?"
"....Adults play it."
Betty White's delivery of that last line always kills me.

Not to mention original ones. How long til they try and fail to recreate the magic that was this show? 🙄
Has 2021 not been bad enough? :( Betty was a true blessing, in life and in character. Goodbye Golden girl :(
Still feels like it happened just a few hours ago in 2024 😔 growing up sucks. All you do is watch everyone you grew up with die and then wonder why you’re still around.
The only show I watch multiple times and never get bored.
I love how they listen to them even though they hated it
My favorite Rose stories: Cousin Ingmar who did bird imitations, Eddie the aqua midget, Ingmar Von Bergman (St. Olaf’s meanest ventriloquist), Mean Old Lady Hickenlooper, Rose’s grandmother with goldfish in her mouth that swam from cheek to cheek…😂
Rose is the only Golden girl left and I almost cry Everytime I watch this
Yes, me too. I first watched the series when it came out and I keep rewatching it. I’m now the age that they were in the show and it’s even funnier now.

Her passing is very tragic, so tragic. She's a funny actress, I always listen to her every time I'm sad or lonely.
We should start having a license to have children, after all St. Olafian are smart responsible people.

Because Rose is smart by St. Olaf standards.
When Rose sounded time with the woman who lost her daughter. I thought it was sweet that Rose took up for her. She got to see her daughter.
It's sad that Rose's naviety and St. Olaf stories overshadowed her loving, compassionate side of her character.
@@myleswayne301 wasn't just Rose. Dorothy has a lovely tender side that we rarely see as the writers made her a sassy queen most of the time.

Rose is one of the purest characters on TV, I loved when she stood up to Blanche for taking advantage of her
And when she told off that absolute scum Dr Norgan (one of the most vile Golden Girls characters)
And when she told Frieda Claxton to “drop dead” Rose’s kindness and purity made the moments when she stands up for herself hit so much harder, always satisfying/hilarious
no one could've told St Olaf stories better than you, rose!!

Even as a kid, I thought those girls were so mean to Rose and she was the epitome of wholesome ❤️
more hilarious tha the st olaf stories are the looks on the girls' faces, turning away from Rose, Blanche rolling her eyes... Can't get enough of the golden girls, can't help it😂
