Yan Ni (Chinese: 颜妮; pinyin: Yán Nī; born 2 March 1987) is a Chinese female volleyball player who won the gold medal in the 2016 Summer Olympics. On club level, she plays for Liaoning.

Yan won the gold medal in the 2015 World Cup, 2016 Summer Olympics, and 2019 World Cup with China women's national volleyball team.
Yan was awarded the Best Middle Blocker at 2018 FIVB World Championship and 2019 World Cup. In 2014 AVC cup, Yan won both the MVP and Best Middle Blocker awards. - Sport
She is not the tallest or the best jumper but her timing has to be one of the best in the world.

She's already old when she enter the CH national team. That's why there are a lot of bandages around her body to protect her from injury. She's a beach Volleyball player when Lang Ping discover her. Some Volleyball player who are poor in China tend to go Beach VOLLEYBALL because it's not that much expensive compared to indoor.

@@CHRISMALVIA100592 I gave watched a lot of videos made by them. Chinese players are always (at least 90 percent) not in the top 5 or top 10 they listed. Instead they have some people who no one knows who they are. After so many people complained they just made a short video of Ding Xia. So how come the best setter in world cup 2019 doesn't make to the top 5 in their minds I don't know the reason besides being racist. How she lost against Germany Poland and Korean setter? What a joke it was.

Excellent reading of the opponent's set , perfect timing ,perfect hand position and perfect press of the block ... If she's just young and agile ..maybe no ball will pass without any bounce from her hand ...
