  • Kamikaze a poem about Kamikaze pilot who leaves his family behind and flies out into battle. On the way to battle fishing boats remind him of his childhood and how they used to wait for his father back. He decides to comeback, but instead of being happy that he came back, everyone treats him as he no longer exists.

    Explaination: The pilot was a kamikaze pilot, they were tasked with flying their planes and crashing into enemy boats like the US. This was a suicide mission and they were never expected to come back alive. If they survived then they would be a disgrace to their country. That's why they have just one tank of fuel enough to reach the enemy but never enough fuel to go home. The pilots we're usually young people and it's rare to survive.

      I agree with you. Dying is better than living in a country that's been defeated. Having to deal with the abuse and most of all, the humiliation. I think Japanese in the past valued their honour more than their lives, and I respect them for that. Humiliation hurt them more than dying

    • @dovahgwyn_
      @dovahgwyn_ Před 5 lety

      Faby Ana, I remember you that we can fight those things. If my country would have to deal with abuses after its defeat, I would fight for the people that remained. It's very very easy to die and let the responsibility on others. If I will die for it, very well. My death will serve as inspiration for others and at least I tried. But if I succeed, I would help many people and possibly live a happy life. Would you die happily knowing that your family and people will suffer abuses from others, while you just wanted to die and escape the responsibility to defend them? Would you die only to not see these things ( but you would be aware of them ), or would you try to further protect those who you love?
      ”Dying in war or after it, these can be both honorable deaths because it doesn't matter how you die, but what cause you died for”
      ”Live today to fight tomorrow”
      My grandparents taught me those principles long ago. Honor it's not just dying in a cool way, I’m sure you know. After all, the only thing that really matters is what you have left before you.
      P.S. The Japanese did Banzai charge and other things not to die to not see their defeat but in the hope of dealing any sort of damage that the soldiers after them could use at their advantage and win the battle. Theirs is not an act of cowardness, but the ultimate sacrifice for others.

      @Fabian Kirchgessner
      I was speaking in general you dumb fuck. Most defeated countries had to deal with a ton of abuse in the past. And yes, those abused by Japan in WW II were included when I said that.
      Their honour was their own, you're just too stupid to understand that honour was a concept they kept for THEMSELVES. Abusing those whom they saw as beneath them didn't affect THEIR honour. I don't think you understand how Japanese view these things. Their honour was different from what westerners called "honour". It was something personal. Their honour was affected if they were defeated or if they surrendered, or if they were otherwise humiliated. It had nothing to do with how they treated others. Abusing people in the countries they defeated didn't affect their honour in their opinion. Losing a battle did, stuff like that. Which is why a lot of them were willing to die, than surrender. I suppose it's something we call "pride". Not everyone is willing to do anything in order to survive. Not everyone is willing to grovel at someone else's feet to get some food, like so many people did in defeated/occupied countries. Some just choose to die in battle instead of seeing their country defeated. Besides, you talk as though they could just oppose a superior's order and go home... LOL

    Kamikaze was a ww2 technique when USA turned the tides and Japan was losing badly. Since they are losing pilots, they had to use a new pilot called kamikaze pilots. It was designed for a bomber or torpedo bomber to launch everything then crash into ships for extra damage while losing aircraft and brave pilots which makes it a suicide tactic.

    It's a true tragedy to see those soldiers who did not want to die and return to their family instead of obeying to the insane suicide order that the government and the military gave getting despised from everyone, including their family and their closest friends. Kamikaze should never be justified. It was incredibly inefficient, and also incredibly crazy. I still can't understand those extreme-rightists in Japan who yet defend Kamikaze attacks, despite the fact that it was bloody meaningless and against humanity.

    • @lyuuy7477
      @lyuuy7477 Před 3 lety

      actually it wasn't inefficient and it was more effective than normal attacks that were basically doing nothing, and kamikaze was an absolute last resort tactic . And planes were getting shot down left and right so the arguement, so kamikazi wouldn't be much different except that it would at least do some damage to the enemy.
