I loved how even though he's a long time driver, and won loads in his years, Martin Schanche still gets really excited when he wins!!! Legend
Saw Will Gollop testing the 309 at Ramsgate Kent Pegwell Bay Kart circuit in 93 near us before he went to the first round of the ERC that year, we went down to have a kart session and they just happened to be there 😮👍🏻

@@nick-andre08 im pretty sure it was based on an rs2000, i assume it musof had cossie engine and running gear as well otherwise a transverse cossie lump would be a fucking tight squeeze under the bonnet!

RS2000 others chose the Escort Cosworth
Rs2000 was wider between the front arches apparently, so he could fit a bigger turbo .. Clever chap :)

Ford Escort Rs2000 T16 X-Trac YB Cosworth powered had a mk5 front but in 1997 or 1995 he had to change to Mk6 front i think i might be wrong
