I am 99.9% certain that this Tahoe is an old JRM hauling and recycling vehicle, I knew Sully personally, he drove a rear load trash truck but as part of his “benefits” he drove this as his personal vehicle. The former owner and founder of JRM took extraordinary care of his employees, Jim was a great person to work for, he expected the world from his employees but he would be willing to give you the world in return if you worked for it. I truly miss working for him and I hope he’s enjoying life after selling to Republic for almost half a billion dollars

Craig, a great product for black plastics and rubber: Penetrol. It can be simply wiped on a clean surface with a rag and will bring back many black materials instantly. Color uniformity and even ness is easy. If you decide after you still want to paint, it's a great oil based paint prep. Helps even out spray paint finish if you like using satin black. I believe it is part linseed oil, and it lasts very well. If you miss a spot, easy to touch up.

You can't beat the AC on a Chevy from that era. My 2006 Trailblazer has the absolute best AC of literally any vehicles I have ever been in by a long shot. It is ice cold and blows cold withing 10 seconds of cranking it up. My new 2023 Blazer's air condition is absolutely pathetic in comparison and even it has better AC than my wife's CR-V. I really wish Chevy still made the AC systems like they used to.

I had a 99 Chrysler 300M and as the evaporator was dying (leaking) I got super cold air and visible condensate from the vents before the AC final quit altogether. The evaporator on this Tahoe is leaking and that's a dash out repair job.

You could’ve gotten a lot more than $11k for this Tahoe. This generation is in demand, as you know since it’s sold within a day.I got my 2012 Tahoe LT last year for $13,500 and it had 160k miles on it, and a rust bubble.

SPELAB RACING! Craig you should do a ride along program contest. Take the winner along to the auction and do a flip for a profit. The winner gets to see the whole deal and all the BS that's going on in the back ground to flip a car.

I had a 99 Chrysler 300M and as the evaporator was dying (leaking) I got super cold air and visible condensate from the vents before the AC final quit altogether. The evaporator on this Tahoe is leaking and that's a dash out repair job.

Hey Craig, repeated many times but thanks for the informative videos. I’m pretty much retired and am thinking of getting my dealers license. I have a few simple tips for you on the GM pickups and other headliner stains. On the sunroofs not sure if you know but there is also rear sunroof drains that clog. Sometimes you can get to them from the rear inner 1/4’s it not you have to drop the rear portion of the headliner. Also we have had great success removing the headliner stains with an enzyme cleaner with the steam and extractor. We would get that from Kar Care Dist. We have also had decent success with Sprayway foaming glass cleaner. It’s good for just about everything, even prep for painting plastic parts.

ice cold air and condensation from the a/c vent is usually an indicator of an undercharge in the system. Since the expansion of the gas causes the cooling, if there is less gas than expected, the gas left in the system expands more than intended, causing lower than expected temperatures. Check for leaks and/or the pressure readings in low and high side of the a/c system. Or it could just be very dense and humid air

You can use tidy bowl toilet cleaner there is muriatic acid in there but just enough but won’t burn your skin. I’ve used it for years on my tow truck flatbed and polished aluminum wheels and they look beautiful. I’d love to have the cutoffs

Muriatic acid is for ripping goop off tile in the bathroom before you repaint over them. You should cut the concentration a bit and experiment with different concentrations, that was a close call with your eye. I worked with a plumber who reglazed bathtubs and used muriatic acid to remove the shine on the tub instead of sanding. You have had way more practical experience with these chemicals than I ever will so that’s great just be a little more careful , you aren’t able to restore eyesight once it’s gone it’s gone.
