- The PS Vita has to be one of the most interesting consoles to have ever been released. In this video I go over the reasons why this handheld was a complete failure in Sony's eyes. Also I share why I absolutely LOVE the console and why I believe this is a great addition to have in your gaming collection!

I started saving up for a Vita a month ago. It's going to be my first ever console (not counting the bootleg handhelds lol)

I actually had a PsVita when I was about 13, but then my brother stole it and some it, still never got over it I cried for weeks cause it was basically the only console I owned at the time. Really wish I had some cash to get a new one though I would love to receive some of my favourite childhood classics, I remember my favourite game was uncharted golden abyss and NFS most wanted the criterion game

One other Vita misstep that not a lot of people know about is, surprisingly, its Call of Duty title. Like how the DS and 3DS (I think) got CoD ports, even if they were kinda different, it seems Activision was gonna switch over to the Vita because, in theory, it could handle getting full ports rather than a compromised version made specifically for it.
CoD Black Ops Declassified is the name of the Vita title. But originally, it was going to be a port of Black Ops II. Unfortunately, it went through development hell and had to be rehashed at the last minute. Activision never tried again after that due to the console’s sinking popularity at the time.
I strongly think if this port was successfully made, possibly with PS3 Crossbuy/Crossplay/Cross-progression support, and was heavily advertised (perhaps as a console bundle,) Blops II could’ve saved the console by selling it like hot cakes
As for my PSP game recommendation on Vita: the Star Wars Battlefront II port. When played natively on PSP, the framerate’s kinda choppy, but on Vita, it’s buttery smooth. Plus the 2nd analog stick improves the control scheme immensely.
When I went to Tokyo and picked up a Ps Vita in Akihabara store a preowned 1000 OLED this was a gadget way beyond the time 2012 and I believe can hold to this day. Proud to have one gadget trophy from Japan 🇯🇵 woohoo!
Funny enough, I find that the PS Vita IMO has essentially earned the title of "The People's Console" and is far from dead... it's actually quite living up to it's name - life. The People are keeping it alive and every single week or so I am surprised by another individual's love for the PS Vita. Homebrew games, applications, plugins, and ports are coming out all the time. It's super exciting to witness and be apart of the PS Vita being given the treatment that it deserved from the very beginning.

You're right is the best portable console ever made, i have mine since 11 years ago and is my main console despite my ps3 that rarely turned on.

I have two OLED models which ive had for years one black one white both in pristine condition and would like to keep them like that,may look into getting another just so i can mod it. Great video there and so glad the Vita community is coming alive.
I have been looking into buying myself a full white vita since my vita only has an aftermarket white faceplate/screen. All the white vitas I have found have a lot of yellowing so I am still on the hunt for a clean white one lol
I have the white OLED ps vita that came with assassin's creed 3. Used it like twice and its been in the box ever since. Its legit brand new still with everything in the box. Today i decided to jailbreak it and wow its easy. Put a 128 gb sd card into sd2vita and wham bam. Running a new theme, PKGJ, and even put retro arch on it with thousands of retro roms i have. Freaking crazy man. The vita has awoken from its slumber!

I bought a Vita while waiting for my modded PSP 1000 to come in & I’ve been amazed ever since. I loved the feel, screen & after modding it this thing is a beast 🔥

I actually bought one black friday of the year they launched, hated the small buttons and game selection at the time and then stuffed in a drawer, found it again a few years later and tried homebrew on it, i dont think there were any permanent cfws at that time without losing the few games i had actually bought, stuffed it in a drawer again until this year, and im glad i still have it, with cfw it is an amazing system

There's still a good amount of psp games on the psn store on the vita, ps1 games too(that's how I was able to get all final fantasy and persona games) but yeah the selection isn't 100% complete

There is a tutorial to copy over any psp game to an unmodded vita through content manager. I copied over all my ripped umd’s.

Some Good home brew games on a modded ps vita like GTA San andreas. But in my opinion a good default game would be Uncharted. It plays excellent for a portable game.

Should I get the 2000 because I’m worried about oled burn in
I have both but mostly play the oled. Its years old and been played hard. Never seen any burn in
I would say the oled is just a great way to go. I’ve messed around with the 2000 but the whole image felt “fuzzier” if that makes sense. Also it felt like I was holding a little kids toy with a screen on it, I am not a huge fan of the built quality on the 2000. As far as burn in goes, the vita that I bought had the original screen on it so it might have been a tad older and it didn’t have burn in BUT it did have these weird black spots that were only noticeable when the screen would go black for a cutscene or something. When I looked into it, it turned out that the spots were just a thing that a lot of vitas had due to the crappy oled tech of back in the day but it wasn’t necessarily burn in. It wasn’t too much of a problem since you could never really see them but my screen had a deep scratch on it so I just decided to buy a new faceplate/screen (hence why the front of my vita is white) and that screen was super pristine at it only had like two very small black dots. So yeah just a little something to consider there.
Omg it's amazing the vita is STILL BEING bought by users!!!! I got rid of switch oled was thinking if steam deck buy nah rogue ally and all that I don't think so!!!!! The vita is so addicting great ports love having final fantasy 2 hd on it!!!!!! And also got it for nightcry!!!!!! I'm amazed this is getting some love get ready Sony!!!!! Your gunna see all the buyers from games being bought!!!!! I trade in my PS3 and also JUST requested clock tower 3!!!!! For PS2 I'm so excited to get that game again it's amazing people still support these beautiful looking games and the vita!!!!!! I'm done with rebuying home consoles!!!!! I think after the PS5 which I will never buy cause of a ps6 already and just not interested anymore!!!!!! Maybe this will show Sony make another handheld!!!!!! I'm sure they saw my buy for nightcry shantae and all my vita purchases!!!! That's right Sony we love the vita and shantae looks better on vita then switch!!!! And the vita can do what these new emulators can do!!!!!! Also love the menu music.....bummmmmm baaaa BUMBUMBUM.....BABABADA Growing up I'm not into these games nowadays there's no more art in games all about graphics no thank you the resident evil remakes suck I'm happy to have non emulation original resident evils again 2 and 3!!!!!! And also the original director's cut of resident evil!!!!!!! I've never been happy I hope Sony can start making games I bought on ps store for vita still and I here they're still making games and Phineas and Ferb is now on sale when it wasn't before Sony knows!!!!! I play mobile games and vita!!!!! The vita is so dang great I'm happy to finally have one HIGHLY RECCOMMEND SHOW SONY WE LOVE IT!!!!!!!! great video I'm amazed people still buy the vita sheesh Sony's gunna be shocked at everyone's purchases oh and the GameCube versions and playstation versions of the original resident evils are like 100 something and like 70 bucks same for tomb raider revelation and on the ps store they're 5.99!!!!!!! More affordable!!!!!!! Oh that's right I still have yet to play tomb raider revelations on there!!!!! It's truly great to see people getting a vita!!!!!! I would say switch is a good option, especially since you can even get a used switch lite for about the same price as a used vita these days lol

I was playing Berserk And The Band Of The Hawk, Capcom vs Marvel, Killzone Mercenary, God Of War The Collection, and GTA San Andreas
Mostly I just use my Vita as a PSP with extra muscle... and I don't use the Playstation TV at all. Heh. It's a decent system, but like so many orphaned game consoles, you have to put some work into it to really appreciate it.
Yes playing psp games on this thing is super awesome! At the end of the day that extra work put into the console is sooo worth it!

So do I I got a vita just for nightcry first time playing after years I was impressed and scared the vita and that game are underrated!!!!! Like sucker punch!!!!! People are bias I SWEAR makes me feel back to 2002 in my early teens getting a PS2 and GameCube!!!! Omg that fun is over with systems now time to get that fun feeling back!!!!! 😁 Makes me smile seeing more vita buyers¡!!!!
