Yay for a book haul! I would love to hear all about the travels! Germany is a country I haven't had a chance to visit yet. The small books are so cute! Summer is especially cute!
The trip was great! Berlin was fun. The city is very modern so the experience is a lot like being in any other large city unless you're visiting specific sites. I suppose because so much was rebuilt and a lot of the buildings have a very modern minimalist style. We went to see a live orchestra with an opera singer and that was amazing, the Konzerthaus was beautiful. The Neues museum was really big and had a lot of ancient Egyptian and prehistoric artifacts. The only other place we stopped at in Germany (aside from seeing the scenery on the train ride) was a tiny bit of Dresden because we stopped there to go to a concert. We didn't have time to explore but we got to see a nice view of the old town over the Elbe river at sunset. Prague by comparison was like going back in time. They have so many really old surviving buildings, the old town is like a fairytale town so you can spend the whole day walking and sightseeing. They have many beautiful bridges and landmarks, and Prague castle is huge and gorgeous. A cool Tim Burton exhibition opened while we were there and everywhere we ate was amazing. It was also less expensive, I really want to go back someday.
@@karlalikestoread sounds fantastic! I've heard a lot of amazing things about Prague. I've been all over Western Europe, but haven't made it to Eastern Europe yet.
Great haul! I love classics.
I started Twelfth Night a very long time ago and never finished it. I do want to revisit it. Someday.
What a lovely book haul! Love the bag too 😊
Thank you so much!
Oh the Poe looks great. I recently bought the complete Poe collection. An ebook regrettably.
That's great! I'd love to read more of his stuff, maybe around the fall.
Best wishes with what you choose to read. Here's to a great reading summer. Good luck with your channel.
Thank you so much! I hope you read some great books this summer too.
