i love the abandoned places mostly and it doesn't matter how long the vlogs are I watch them from start to finish.
Hey Adam, I have a quick question for you. Since you bring us into your life vicariously through social media can you please do one of your vlogs on simply your Christmas tree that your parents have. There would be surely a few ornaments of little woo there, and various things that you possibly have created a few ornaments as a child. I just think it would be fun. Thanks for all you do bud! Got to say mate I prefer the longer blogs and I check in every day I am in the uk and I must say I have learnt so much about the U.S. and it's like having my own personal Gide to places in the us that I and many people would never see so sending merry Xmas from the uk bro and keep up the sterling work my friend

There are no "Brand Name" shops in there to keep the smaller ones full of passer by customers. But the big guys will put a store in where an established set of customers come or build their own building with owned land (Full control). They are at least keeping the building up and property. The realtor if worth much should be able to work with the developer to get enough businesses in to make it work.

I think it would make great office space - and some not all but some could be converted into apartments - no yard to mow and lots of parking

Wow Adam that's a good looking abandoned place to put my Café if I was living in Florida, I'm amazed at all that good space is just sitting there but, I'm thinking from my experience in looking for a business locations for my cafe, I'm guessing whoever who owns the lot wants way too much money for rent! or to be brought out! and they're most definitely too stubborn and got plenty of money to do so, Because it still looks as if it still gets maintenance like termite treatment, grass cut etc etc.
why is it empty? look at 192, most of the stores are closed, Ive said this before,, down there,, I think, its the power of Disney,, just a thought,,

There are quite a few abandoned places here in oklahoma, I like the vlogs reguardless of the time.. I also love you adam the Woo Stay Awesome man!
The developer must have went broke and defaulted on the bank loan that built the place, the bank took it over, and the bank has been trying to sell it (they usually don't get involved in renting), that's why you se the realtor info posted. The place remains empty because parts of Florida are still riding out the real estate bust, banks would rather hold properties and wait for an upswing in values and aren't in the position to risk any more money right now, nobody's lending. Like you said Adam, that's prime real estate with tons of traffic, you could sell shit there and draw a crowd. The property could also be tied up in the courts (liens, ownership disputes amongst family heirs, workmanship lawsuit, property dispute), but not likely if up for sale.
If you lowered the rent, people would come to fill the stores. But America builds, then wastes. People left the local mall because their rent zoomed. Wow a 70's styles restaraunt.
Never met you Adam but you are a real nice guy and one day hope to meet you . Always watch your vlogs on both channels and never miss one yet . Hope you have a good Xmas and your family enjoy you deserve it ! Love and peace

Have you ever been to Dallas? Dallas has Statler Hilton Hotel in downtown it's been abandoned it's very cool and old school, it's being preserved and restored last I heard. Dallas tears down too many cool old buildings in my opinion, they've gotten a little better recently. However The Lakewood Theater's (a very cool theater) lease is about to expire.
Its way cool....only 5 days till Santa comes and your in a tee shirt .I can only remember one Christmas here in Indiana that was a fair weather 70s day . Global Warming...? Join us....shall you....Great vlog Adam.....KUTGW

Long comments > shorter comments I would try longer comments for a while, and if you get any pushback, just assign certain days a specific length vlog. For example, "Wee vlog Wednesdays" or "Stretch em' out Saturdays" and just wing it from there based on popular demand. You can't please everyone all the time, but you are doing a good job of it so far.

OMG I was doing a vlog at the Worlds Largest Orange in the early afternoon. Less than half a mile away!
Its amazing that places like these are empty for decades , then instead of people refurbishing them....they choose to build new....Just goes to show why other countries hate the USA so much because we waste so much of anything and everything....But I'm still a proud AMERICAN .Great VLOG...KUTGW

Phayzyre105 my friends sold there corner store and lot for $750k and had just spent $50,000 on reno's the new owners never even tried to secure the building and evicted all the tenants. The reno was gutted by scrappers and now the building has been taken down its just an empty lot now but I am so sure its a rich person just trying to create a negative for a tax break... they don't get rich without learning a couple tricks

A giant mall is dying near me and the shopping centers that are 1 mile away take/took most of the empty mall's business plus the anchor stores are closed

I think all the regulations Obama administration put on businesses made it hard to open them. Hopefully President Trump taking the regulations off has helped.

It's unbelievable how they build these mini-malls, wreck a whole bunch of beautiful land that could have had palm trees growing on it and this building is going to fall apart and pollute the countryside.-- it's a shame -- they do that in Canada too.

Probably, nobody in the area can afford to buy food from a restaurant or from these little shops that charge so much money for little things. Then again, if you go to "Walmart", you can buy everything that little shops sell for half the money, so to make a long story short -- Walmart and large restaurant franchises like MacDonalds, Burger King etc., are winning the business against these little places. Also, who wants to go to a bar these days, the beer is too expensive -- they'd rather get a case and stay at home like me. lol
Mainly...even though our gov says the economy is coming back.....Obama sugar coated the unemployment % and the economy statistics....thus you have miss balanced supply and demand in many small places like this .That's why they close down.....nobody can afford these nice extras
