He was a joy to watch 9 times out of 10, but he did also have his stroppy moments that won’t be seen in the highlights reels. He’d occasionally go through long periods in games where nothing his teammates did was good enough and he’d be throwing his hands in the air about every pass that wasn’t inch perfect.
However he was one of those rare talents that could change a game in a moment. He was head and shoulders above everyone in the premier league for a period, and when we used to sing “we’ve got the best player in the world” we genuinely believed it.

I remember that they were still replaying Pires's goal and then cut abruptly (I thought poor live match video director) to when Reyes decked Reizeger down and then scored that goal.

Always remembered this match… Was in Hong Kong and way past midnight… desperately looking for a place to watch the match. When I finally found a pub screening the match, Arsenal was 3-1 down. The mood was sobred.Then Bergkemp scored and gave us hope that the unbeaten run will be kept intact. When Pires equalised, the whole pub erupted. The rest is is history.
Dennis Bergkamp was the core, even at the age of 34.
Score the 2nd goal, nutmeg parlour and assist Reyes and the flick during the last goal.
No player came close to his ability after his retirement and that's why Arsenal decline.
Fabregas, Ramsey and Wilshere were close to DB1O in term of technical ability and vision to create chances. Not exactly same tho but quite near.

This squad practically turn many top team to underdog while playing with them. They humiliate you, murder you, assault you, assassinate you, and then leave you with sorrows, bitterness, pains, agony, anguish and disgrace.
