- Changing fuel filter is very important for your car. For a BMW 5series 520d it is not very difficult to change it. The hardest part si to remove and mount back the beneath cover. It has 15 screws and the space is very tight.
Fuel filter is located on the LEFT side of the car, beneath it, approximately under driver's seat.
I lifted the car to gain some space; it helps a-lot - Jak na to + styl
I have a 2016 5x 35d.. I cleaned my EGR this weekend and did an oil change . My next maintenance is the fuel filter ! This was great ! Thanks ! I love doing what I can on my own vehicle and maintenance for mine specifically is hard to come by.

Mahle filter (KL 169/4) comes with a seal.
hi, can you explain the sequence of priming the fuel circuit after filter installation? how many times do I have to push the start button to ensure the low pressure pump removes the air?

Yes, it should be on the driver's side (left), approximately @ under the driver's seat

Salut, de obicei nici cei de la service nu amorsează filtrul/nu aerisesc sistemul.. ce părere ai? Se poate strica pompa de înalte? Ai avut probleme cu ea in viitor? Mersi!
Salut, nu am avut niciun fel de probleme după ce am schimbat filtrul. Turul de combustibil are si pompa electrică, asa ca nu ar trebui sa afecteze pompa de înalte
Da se strica...pompa merge in gol... nu se strica la prima abatere..se strica in timp face span. Daca el a postat asa ceva si sustine ca nu a avut probleme...normal la el atunci nu pica. Mecanici de 2 lei
@@bebepanescu7303 nu e mecanic. Schimbă ce poate fiindcă ii face plăcere. Simți o satisfacție uriașă atunci cand poți schimba unele piese sau filtre sau uleiul la mașină tu de unul singur. 😉
Salut. La mine de ce porneste instant cand apas pe "Start" ? Adica nu isi face ciclul ca si vand pui contactul, apoi dai sa pornesti.
Posibil că ții apăsat pe frână când apesi start. Încearcă să apeși start fara să ții apăsat pe frână sau altceva
