I just got a 2.7 ecoboost regular cab truck for work and I thought it was going to be slow since it’s a v6. Boy was I surprised when I floored it. Holly crap!!!

I was finally able to get this truck with only 60k miles 1 owner. A Ford has always been my dream truck but having an eco boost f150 is a cherry on top. Mine came with the red Stitching Interior and a full sun roof. Wish I could own this truck forever man.

I have a 2017 crew cab 4x4 with the 2.7. I've installed the boostmax controller and the S&B cai. It is very impressive for such a small engine. I also have a 550hp 2016 Mustang GT. To be honest. 0-60 there isn't much difference. But after that the GT comes on around. Out of all my rides the 2.7 F150 is my favorite.
Oh yeah gotta love the ecoboost man. I have a 15 mustang GT it’s basically stock right now but I’m planning on doing a vmp supercharger in the future

Looks good! I have an 11 and I’m wanting to make the move to a single turbo setup. :D I had to fix one of the turbos when I purchased it. ( wastegate was seized shut) I’m going to guess it will be an issue down the road. Love the seats in yours too looks great!!

Looks like you live down the road from me, looks like southwest Florida all day, your truck is a beauty. I love my new 2.7..I totaled my 2013 f150 with a 5.0 it was a 4x4. My rental was a 2.7 ecoboost and thats what made me want that engine. My new truck is 2wd, in the last 8 years & 2 other 4x4 Ford's, I never used my 4wd, so I settled on 2wd. I wanted a lariat ecoboost and I love it.
Oh yeah man sw Florida and the ecoboost is a great truck. I also came from a 5.0 f150

Love my Ecoboost. I've had Chevy, GMC and Dodge all v8 gas and Diesel and this Ecoboost is the best, more reliable than any of my gas trucks. Oh yeah I'm a GM loyalty CMS customer but I buy Fords.

I bought them used off of eBay grill was $200 platinum panel was $100

Shaun did you have to remove the rear block when installing the leveling kit or did you just want it to squat a little?
I removed it because the rear still sat higher than the front even with the 2.5” leveling kit
How much does the rear block lower the rear and does it affect the ride?
Maybe 1/2” and doesn’t affect the ride but some people post that they get a slight vibration with rear block removed, they usually put a small shim and it fixes that issue but I’ve never had it

Grille is painted, I have tow mirrors because the oem mirrors on the 15+ are terrible in my opinion. My 2011 f150 oem mirrors were great but the 15+ just didn’t do it for me. I haul a 20’ Trailer too so it helps

I agree the eco boost surprised me. A lot of fun to zip around town. I am a believer I’d take a eco over the v8. This eco is faster than my 21 v8 Tahoe with the low end push. The Tahoe will eat it at 60-100 on a roll

They are not built tough today... They are aluminum... My friend has one and rolled (after taking foot off the brake at a stop sign behind my friend) and rolled into the 37in tire of my friend... They front end was extremely messed up and the hood looked real bad all bcuz he rolled into a big tire doing all of 1 mph
Hey boss, quick question. I have the 2.7 and I'm gunna level it and put basically the same wheel/tire setup that you have on mine. Thing is my ass end has 3:31 gears in it. It's 2wd. You figure I'll be ok to run the wheel tire setup for a while till I can get it regeared?

Dont knock it til you try it. I had a 2006 Cobalt SS Supercharged with factory stage 2 tune, upgraded pulley, and exhaust. Burned a lot of unsuspecting cars.
From a stop, a supercharged fwd was pretty worthless though! Haha

Yes 6 speed auto. The 10 speed in the 2017 is faster
2018 and up is the 10 speed.
Bryan Valenzuela 2017 and up is the 10 speed. But I’m not a big fan of it. It never knows what gear it’s in
I love the 10 speeds way more than the 6’s. The 6 speeds were bad about slamming into 2nd if you was cruising in a parking lot. The 10 speeds are awesome! Mine rarely hunts for gears

It beat my friends mustang and charger...it was quite funny seeing a truck pull away like that
There is no comparing a 05 v6 4.0 mustang through 2010 same motor 4.0. In 2011 ford put the NA 3.7 v6 in the mustang that supposed to have had 305 hp. Mustang performance in Lucedale MS put several 3.7’s on the dyno and said all of the 3.7 mustangs he dynode had between 335/340 hp 360/375 torque stock. He said ford had them underrated for insurance reasons. All I know is after he got through tuning them, exhaust change and cai when it came to racing a mostly stock 5.0 or ss camaro it was basically who ever got the jump would win.

My first comment, but I enjoyed everything except the ridiculous comment that he pulls on 05/06 4.6 Mustangs, lol!! The only way he's pulling on S197 3V Mustangs is if they don't even know he's racing them!! If they do realize he wants to race, then they definitely aren't accelerating or trying.
Now don't get me wrong, it's a nice truck and they are pretty quick. But before I built and supercharged my 06, it was running much faster 1/4 mile times than a tuned F150 Ecoboost! And that's without a big off-road wheel/tire combo slowing it down even more!

Yes sir over here in north port. These builders throw them up pretty quick, sometimes it takes them a little longer but if it’s a floor plan that they do a lot and their sub contractors are all on time then they get them done quick
