You can say skinwalker ranch, skinwalker is the English translation of the diné name, it’s really bad to say the native names though, just make sure not to whistle ( coming from a native ( chahta) person
But i read somewhere it's better to not say it just in case, like it can ' summon' something 😓
@@r.n.holmes5625 it doesn’t summon anything with the English name, if you were to say the dine name or any other native name of those things then you’d have bad luck, and you really only have to worry about those skinwalkers in the four corners ( I’m not going to educate but if you want check out shanclen shadow productions, he’s diné and has a video about the truth of skinwalkers
It makes me uncomfortable so if I can avoid saying it, I normally do
I live in ABQ, NM so SN's are local lore here. So what you say does give me comfort. I'm still going to try to avoid saying the English word, just in case, though.

I had something weird happen to me as a child and I still don’t understand why I felt that way
I was about seven (I have a 15 y/o cat who was much younger at the time) he is very good with being outside for an indoor cat and typically watches birds from our back porch and wanders around to the front but I was hungry and got a snack from inside and didn’t see him walk into the woods but when I got back outside he was sitting in the woods starting directly at me and wouldn’t look anywhere but my eyes and it felt like I shouldn’t look away from him and he walked directly back to me in a straight line looking me in the eyes the whole time and immediately wanted back inside
Second one:
I was supposed to go on a trip with my best friend and we had just grabbed her clothes from her house and went to put her bag in the trunk and I randomly decided to put my mini backpack in the trunk as well (still don’t know why) but I tried not to think about it too much
In the grocery store right after this my mom found me putting my bag in the trunk suspicious and I got in trouble because she found things I wasn’t allowed to have and we ended up bringing Athena home and my mom left for the trip alone
She got into a crash that day and broke her neck (the seat where my best friend would be sitting in had the car door caved in on it)
Third:
When I was younger I decided I REALLY wanted to draw eyes and cried all night trying to perfect drawing them
Eyes are the only thing I can draw to this day
I never liked drawing

Probably that the livestock had been slaughtered in a very graphic manner, skinwalkers are known for doing that.

@@QueerMothling I did have an experience with the Rusalki:)))) also I did hear my name being called from in front of my grandparents s house in their village:))) awfully similar with the stories of the flesh pedestrians
