I’ve watched Brianna White for soooo long. It was a great dub, but I could tell right away it wasn’t her.
Edit: yeah I noticed during her playthroughs that she’d be hard on herself 😂. She’s so humble about it, it’s precious. It’s always really fun to hear the voice actors perspective.

@@KingSpooky89 She loves the character of Aerith a lot, and has said many time she’s inspired by her. She’s also grateful to the fans for how much they’ve supported the game over the decades. I think it’s beautiful Bri is so invested in the FF7 remakes, and if all that goes over your head that’s your loss.

I see Ben Starr more and more, and every time I see him, I squeak just a bit higher. This man is an amazing voice actor, and I can't wait until he's in even more stuff!
Ben Starr should play Clive in a live action production of 16. He and the role are so perfectly fit and the amount of people who could then enjoy his once in a lifetime performance by removing it from the confines of a video game would be huge. Imagine a Witcher style show but of 16 with him. It would be huge

I love how much Ben loves games and Final Fantasy, and how he connects to the characters! Also shoutout to Anna Brisbin (BrizzyVoices) for 2 clips here and for stumping Ben! I met her briefly at Pax East this year and she is very talented and sweet!

I caught the aerith one! But maaaaan it was good. And john Bentley is deeper for barret. That told me right away. I definitely didn’t think that was wakka though.
I think the aerith performance was actually perfect. She just nailed her playfulness without being too overboard. I did find the motion capture for aerith and tifa a little over the top, but I watch anime, so I know what inspired it. The traditional anime cute girl movements.
Loved everyone’s work in 16. The voice acting was probably my favourite thing about the game.

Got the Wakka one immediately because the first part of it sounded like Bender from Futurama.
Haha this was great watch. Appreciate the production, editing and pace of uploads so far. Only one that took me sec was wakka, cuz i was like that sounds off, but that also sounds like john dimaggio which I hadn’t realized voiced him. Entertaining and informative.

Fantastic choices for older games with great voice acting, Soul Reaver (and Blood Omen) became the reason why I learned English.
You know... there's an undercurrent of Richard Armitage's Thorin Oakenshield in your voice and accent. It's more than the voice, but like, the headstrong 'drive' or conviction behind it.

I spent a year editing an abridged version of FFVII Remake so I've heard a lot of lines a dozen times back-to-back. I can read back entire scenes (without subtitles) in the exact same tone as the actor at the exact same pace.
So, I immediately know when those are fake.
